Hello all,

I currently live in the uk, however working for Disney is a really huge aspiration of mine and was wondering if they offer any form of international employment etc...

I have had a look on their careers website, it's very useful but doesn't really give any idea wether they do or not, and the process required about doing so.

Any help on international employment will be greatly appreciated!

The area that I want to work in at WDW is their horticulture (gardening) department, but I'm struggling to find information on the roles within that (very large) department and the qualifications they look for when employing a gardener at any of those levels.

Again any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,
Weatherspoon!

You can do the International College Program if you're going to uni! Since you're from the UK, if you get accepted, you will be working in the UK pavilion and will be here for a year. Unfortunately, there isn't any horticulture in th UK pavilion, so you'd be working in a restaurant or a shop. If you network right, you could apply for horticulture jobs or internships and get a visa to stay longer. Not sure how all of that works, but it's worth a shot! Disney will more than likely put you up in The Commons which is for international college program students, but you could also live in Patterson Court, Chatham Square or Vista Way. Good luck! :)

There are 2 options for people from the Uk, the international College Program (which i did) or the Cultural Representative program. I took part in the College program in 2010 and worked in quick service but there are many other roles ie, housekeeping, custodial, attractions, operations, merchandise, food and beverage. In this program you either live at Patterson Court, Chatham Square of Vista Way. This is a three month programThe problem with this option is you must be an student at university.

The other option is the Cultural Rep program where you will be based in the UK at Epcot and either be given merchandise of food and beverage as your roles. In this program you will live either at the Commons or at Patterson Court if the Commons are full. This is a 12 month program.

If you go on www.yummyjobs.co.uk they have more information about both program (they are the disney reps for the UK). If you really want to do horticulture i guess your best bet is to try and get an internship but i don't know how to do this.

If you have any other questions feel free to message me  I miss working at Disney.
