I just wondering if anybody from outside the US has participated in this program? Espically those from Canada. What is it like and how to get hired. Any info you can give would be great.
Thanks :)

Which program? Do you mean the Cultural Representative Program?

They should come to interview to your country at least twice a year. Send your CV and wait for them to call you and tell you where the interviews will be.

You will be working at the Canadian pavillion either in Merchandise or in Food and Beverage, which is mainly Le Cellier Restaurant. You will be living at The Commons with rent deducted from your weekly paycheck.

I took part in the Fellowship Ambassador Program -that no longer exists- representing my country, and had a blast. Some of my canadian friends didn´t like wearing those costumes and making "beavertails" all year long, but the living experience pays for all the $hitty tasks you end up doing at work sometimes. :animwink: It´s worth it! :)

Hiya! :)

If you are talking about the Cultural Rep. Program, then I can help. ;)

I'll be representing the UK from this summer on the WDWIP.

Maria has described the program well so I'll just give you some contact info. to get you started. ;) You also have the option in Canada of working 'Food &beverage' or 'Merchandise & attractions'.

Your contact (a.k.a. procurement ally) in Canada is 'Castaway'.

If you are interested, the best thing to do is to send off a cover letter and your resumé asap. Currently, interviews are being held in March and October in different parts of Canada.

Also, check out this web site: wdwip.com and it's discussion forums here wdwip discussion forums. There you can find out anything and everything you ever wanted to know about the program. :)
