if you are on the icp, especially just for summer, then it is very VERY unlikley you will be trained for parades, shows or face. You will be doing Fur only.

ok thanks but what about if im there for a year!!? can i be train for that?

If you do the year-long ICP, you would not be eligible for an entertainment role. You would be considered a cultural rep and would work in the Mexico pavillion at EPCOT or in Guest Relations.

There is a somewhat newer program that lets international students work there for 7 months while taking a couple courses at the University of Central Florida (I think...). In any case, if you're looking for a program that's longer than a few months, it's one worth considering!

As far as working parades and the like in entertainment, I didn't know of anybody who was able to work in such areas when I was there in '06. That said, if you look enough like a particular character they do allow for you to "be friends" with a face or fur character. It's really just the stage shows and parades that you can't do unfort! Of course, that may change pending auditions and all that, so I can't really say for sure.

Well from what I see, there are two separate programs depending on if you're in your final year of school or not. If you still have a couple years to go, might be worth inquiring about this program: http://yummyjobs.com/opportunities/programmes/13/disneys-j1-academic-program-placements-for-undergraduates/

However for that program they have not listed that they were accepting applications from Mexico, but it's certainly worth seeing if anything is possible!

If you're in your final year of study, you basically deal with the same program as the first, just taking a few classes at a different university: http://yummyjobs.com/opportunities/programmes/12/disneys-international-college-program-for-graduates/

Apart from these, you could apply for the standard ICP role: http://yummyjobs.com/opportunities/programmes/14/disneys-international-college-program-summer-2009/ (though they wouldn't be accepting applications for this summer anymore)

Another option to consider would be to go there on the Cultural Rep program. You work for a year in the Mexico pavillion in EPCOT; either in merchandise, food & beverage, or operations: http://yummyjobs.com/opportunities/programmes/15/disneys-cultural-representative-program/

Or some info from the official Disney site about the program: http://www.disneyinternationalprograms.com/crp/roles_mexico.html

Just to note though, I'm not sure whether or not Yummy Jobs is the company that does the hiring in Mexico for Disney or not... I only know of them personally as that's who I've dealt with, being from Canada.

Acutally that isn't always the case. My friend Lucy was from England and was there for a year and she worked on Main Street with me.

Here is the website for interested people from Mexico http://www.disneyinternationalprograms.com/gate_mexico.html. I have never heard of the yummy jobs site and would be leary of applying there since its not the offical recruiting site. This site has where you can click the country you are from so no matter what country this ( http://www.disneyinternationalprograms.com/ )is the site you shoud use.

Oh no worries, Yummy Jobs is completely safe and is actually Disney's official recruiting company for the UK and Canada. They're the people that fly out to do face-to-face interviews, help sort out work visas, etc. So for those living in any of those associated countries, Yummy Jobs is who you'd work with to get into the house of the mouse! I've known several people since my ICP that have dealt with them and are in fact working in Florida now, so they're completely legit. I just put up the links to the Yummy Jobs site since they seem to describe the various programs available to international applicants fairly well.

As for Mexico, I just dug up the info and you wouldn't deal with Yummy Jobs. Instead, depending on which program you want to apply to, you'd send any questions/application to one of the following email addresses:

For International College Program/J1 Academic inquiries
Roxana Alonso Zavala
E-mail Address: alonsoicp@yahoo.com

For Cultural Representative Inquiries
Ana Laura Dominguez
E-mail Address: crpmex@gmail.com

Hopefully they'll be able to help you out!:)

A full list of the companies you'd have to submit applications to pending the country your in can be found here: http://www.disneyinternationalprograms.com/apply.html#this
