Internal Disney Transport Question

I am so excited - we will be leaving for Florida tomorrow and, after a brief visit with relatives in Boca, we will be arriving at the World on Monday! The next Saturday evening, I will be running the final Tower of Terror 13K. Here's my question:

We are having dinner at Le Cellier before the race, and I was planning (upon the advice of some very helpful members here) to take the boat from the World Showcase to DHS for the race. Well, I just found out that the boat will be running from Epcot to the Boardwalk Inn, but it will not be going all the way to DHS because that park will be closed at 7pm to prepare for the race. The only way to get to DHS from the Boardwalk Inn is to take a bus (since they are one of the host resorts). My question is, where in relation to the dock at the Boardwalk Inn is the bus stop - is it far? I'm trying to figure out what time I need to get to the boat dock at Epcot in order to make the last bus from the Boardwalk to DHS by 9pm so I don't miss the race. What are your recommendations?

You can walk directly from Epcot to DHS. Exit through the international gateway take the first bridge on your left and either follow the waters edge to the path next to the Boardwalk or take a shortcut through the Boardwalk's pool area to the walking path. Total walking time will be about 20 minutes.

Followup Question

This is great info, guys - thanks! Is it really straight along the water's edge all the way from Epcot to DHS? I'm a bit of a nervous nelly when it comes to directions. LOL. It's good to know I at least have that option if I miss the last bus from the Boardwalk at 9pm.

Do you know if walking will bring me to the main entrance of DHS or will it bring me to an entrance that might be closed before the race begins? Aside from my silly fear of getting lost, I actually don't mind a 20 minute walk before 9pm since the race doesn't start until 10:30pm. I'll be walking around the parks all day anyway, and 13K is a distance I do all the time. I'm just running the race for fun, not to win.

This link will take you to the satellite view. You can see the walking path on the right side of the canal between the Swan and Dolphin and the Board Walk. It will end about 200 feet from the main entrance at DHS.

Also...the bus stop is not too far at all from the boat dock. Just head up the dock, straight up the stairs to the BW main lobby and straight out the front door. The bus stops are located on the left.
