Well, I've gotten really bored in my insomnia and I went hunting for some good info..
I didn't really find anything groundbreaking, but there was some interesting stuff to be found on the Cast Portal. For instance...
WDW Horticulture says the largest planting bed in WDW is at the Land pavillion at Epcot. It covers an area of 20,000 sq. ft. and can hold up to 20,000 individual plants.
Plus, they're particularly proud of the MK entrance bed, the Canada garden bed, the Fort Wilderness entrance, and the Wedding Pavillion entrance.
In entertainment, I found a link to a listing of every character performance at Epcot
I even know what days of the week Pam Brody has off and when to get an autograph with the elusive Caveman in future world. I'd post info, but it changes weekly.
Did you know that after 65 years with the WDW company, you get a big statue of Walt Disney? After 15 years you a neat looking metal Cinderella Castle, and at 10 years you get a plaque with the Globe/Mousears on it, which was the first anniversary recognition reward thingy at WDW.
Back to entertainment.. How come Voyage of the Little Mermaid doesn't have a 4:30 showing though it does operate every half hour the rest of the afternoon?
There are 25 penny presses at the MK, each offering roughly 3 or 4 different designs. There are also 7 quater presses.
On Tuesdays and Fridays at 12:30 there is a presentation of Living With the Land with sign language interpetation.
Sweet Spells at MGM is currently offering Pumpkin Pie Fudge.
The WDW newsletter group requests that employees refer to number of CM's as being "over 54,000 Cast Members at the Walt Disney World® Resort" so that it is phrased properly and not leaving anyone out.
And Company D wants everyone to know Hatbox pins are on sale for $3.99! Regularly priced at $8.99
