Interested in bi-weekly updates?

Now that the Extreme Makeover: DCA Edition is in full swing, I'm thinking about going up to DL probably bi-weekly (every two weeks) and mapping the progression of the changes and other happenings in the resort. I could also do requests if needed.

Is anyone here interested in updates filled with witty humor and obscure pop culture references not unlike EpcotServo's WDW updates? I will be going up on Sundays and the update will be posted on Mondays.

Heck, I visit Disneyland and DCA a few times a month and I'd be interested too! I often just head to Disneyland for a few hours in the evening and don't get over to DCA to see what's happening, so it would be nice.

And the timing seems right for this. I was in DCA last week for the first time in weeks and I was surprised at how much had already been done and what else was starting around the Pier area. Walls everywhere, bulldozers galore, and some really heavy duty construction going on all around.

And the rumor is that the demolition of the Golden Dreams theater begins in about six weeks. As I feel that attraction was the poster child for all that was wrong with DCA, I personally can't wait to start seeing that thing get crushed into the rocky Anaheim soil!

I knew that there would be overwhelming interest, I just wanted to see the kind of traffic the DL forum gets. Meaning, people just come through here for planning tips and not just for info on IASW reopening.

I think this section would get a whole lot more popular with regular DCA makeover pics. Any Disney park fan has to be interested in that. :)

Steve, do you think you would ever consider opening a companion website for Disneyland, DLMagic or some such?

I don't think we need a companion site for DL, as much as an expansion to this section, maybe a couple subforums for trip reports, other SoCal questions, etc., while keeping the general DL threads in the original forum.

BTW: First update could come on Monday, depends on if I am able to go. If not this Monday then next.

Good grief if thats true theres going to be walls everywhere in the back part of DCA...

I think it's unlikely. Just covering WDW in a lot of detail is a big enough job, and I dont think I could put enough resources into covering DL in the same way. It would be great to see the DL board here on the forum increase in traffic though. :)
