Innovative Ride Systems

How about this- a ride system that incorporates an omnimover for slow parts but is capable of reaching 30 miles per hour for thrill features.

rzalaskus, in what terms do you define what an omnimover is ?. In a way rocket rods is an omnimover IMO

on another note you could use the launch technology used in RnR as a propulsion to a higher speed in thoes areas

base an omnimover system on mag-left technology, so that its capapble of travelling at various speeds throughout an attraction...

Well, you would be right to say I haven't but I am not sure you are are aware of the technology behind it. It would be capable of going at "omni-mover" speeds, I don't think JttCoE goes that fast until the final plunge, and that is RR tech. Plus aren't the omni-movers are all linked together? So how could it go faster in some parts? The laws of dependent velocities make this impossible hence why I would assume all omni-movers to date stay at the same speed through out.

Sorry. When i think of omnimover, I think of Haunted Mansaion or Horizons. When I rode Rocket Rods, I would have never called it an omnimover ride.

Well, that is because it's not an omni-mover, what I was saying is that I am pretty sure that is not capable of different speeds, so I assumed you meant to disconnect the cars, which then hence moving at different speed is Rocket Rods Tech.

Again I am talking about the technology not what they specifically did with the RR ride, look at Journey to the Center of the Earth at Tokyo DisneySea and you will see what I am talking about using the same technology to achieve what you were talking about.
