I don't get this impression on CTX but haven't ridden Indy. If true, how is it that Indy changes each time you ride it?

There are serveral points in the attraction with mulitple experiences. Example: in the dark tunnel, you might encounter rats droping on your car. sometimes it's snakes. Sometimes your vehical headlights shine on the wall showing tons of BUGS! sometimes it's just pitch black with squishing noises.

The vehicals are also programed to do different things at different points in the trip, ranging from stalling, shaking, skiding, going really slow or speeding up. They also simulate different terrain.

As the Imagineers described it, "you'll never have the same experience twice"

I think they should make a DisneySeas in Disney World instead of adding the Indy ride to one of their existing parks.

thread drift...

I would love to see a 5th gate based on the Disney Sea format but it's kinda hard to get the same feel in Florida that you do in Tokyo.

Tokyo DL and DS are built on a peninsula in Tokyo Bay. You actually see Tokyo Bay from two of the "lands" at Disney Sea. Port Discovery is built to look like it's a harbor behind a seawall and you can look past to wall onto the real ocean. It's location is such a key part to the theaming of the park. I think the concept loses a lot of its impact if you don't build it on the sea or on some very large body of water like a great lake.

You'ld have to change the concept to something more local. Perhaps Disney's Florida Adventure? But each of Disney Sea's "lands" can so easily fit into the other parks. Add a central/south american rain forest area to AK and you've got the PERFECT setting for Temple of the Crystal Skull. Or make it an Amazon temple, get Amazon.com to sponsor it, add lots of snakes to fit in with the animal park of animal kindgom! Indy hates snakes. Makes it a good theamed tie in.

just my $.02.. you can add it to the budget request for a new land at AK

Definetely one of my favorite attractions at DL. We were there in October so the lines were minimal, so I can't say I remember too much of what the queue was like other than it was dark and the theming was true to the ride.

The ride itself was great, very cool. the whole family loved it.
