I've been to Florida 7 times in the past 10 years, and i'm holidaying there again next easter.

We are staying in a villa at Indian Point, which is apparantly near Medevil Times.

Does anyone know anything else about this area, anything would help, as im quite familiar with the 192 Highway?

Thanks in advance...

Thats near where i live, its about 15 min to wdw. Big tourist area, there is a superwalmart in that area, what else do you want to know. also I'll let out a secret, don't know if you have shuttle service to the parks or not, but there is a public bus company (LYNX) that runs a bus in that area to the ttc @$1.25 per person per ride but you could buy a week pass or something.

We'll be fine for transport, we have a hire car.
We've stayed along the 192 before, and I personally prefer it to I-Drive.
Just wondered what the general area was like?
How far from the 192, WalMart etc?

Thanks for your help...

while I don't know where exactly your place of stay is, Midevil times is about 2-3 mins to walmart. Some of the tourist trap is on both sides of I-192. generally the east side is a longer and not as flashy. (the east side is where you will be) the west side is flashy and full of tourist. however it is shorter. be warned if you are driving of a few things:

1) there is a very aggrressive police force in the central flordia area when it comes to speeding, rule of thumb is if your speeding you will get cought. obey all speed limits inside wdw there are police inside that will issue tickets. a few weeks ago the issued 596 speeding tickets in one day right outside wdw. 2 days later they got 457 people for speeding. they are very good at hiding or dressing up as something you would expect such as a homeless guy holding a sign that you think says hungery or something nope it says "smile your on radar"

2) night driving in the 192 area can be very dangerous be CAREFUL. People will go and cross the road after its dark in dark cloths and are very hard to see, event worse in the rain. this is the soul reason that when I come home from work at 11pm I go through Disney to avoid the 192 area

3) Wrong way drivers down here are very popular. be careful. Normally this happens at night when the roads are slower, but keep a eye out for it. Last week I was driving a service truck down wourld drive and had a wrong way driver I really couldn't get out of the way, but I was able to get the cars behind me stoped and the wrong way driver stoped about a 1/2 inch from my bumper, saved me the trouble of a accident report!

anything else just ask

There is a Super Wal-Mart very near your location. Medieval Times is not that great, I'd go with Dolly Parton's Dixie Stampede instead, that's near the Orlando Premier Outlet, about 15 min. from your location. Many discount shops are located along the way also, and a Congo River Mini-Golf is not far off. International Drive is a good 20-25 minute drive from where you are.
