India Archies Signs Consumer Products Pact With Walt Disney

MUMBAI -(Dow Jones)- Archies Ltd. (532212.BY), an Indian greeting cards and gifts retailer, said Monday it has signed an agreement with U.S. media and entertainment company Walt Disney Co. (DIS) for non-exclusive rights to design, make and sell Walt Disney's products.
The agreement, valid for 28 months starting April 1, also allows Archies to use some of Walt Disney's trademarks, it said in a notice to the stock exchange.
It has also entered into an agreement with U.K.'s Simon Elvin for sourcing designs for greeting cards.
It didn't disclose further details.
