Hi Folks.Well I've been busy making fried chicken, pizza, and gumbo for my party tomorrow night to celebrate July 4th,just having a few Disney daft friends over. Also doing a large bowl of Sangria, lots of fruit, red wine in it.But I need your suggestions what you do,food & drink,to celebrate. Please no cupcake recipes as baking is not my forte.:)Oh and happy 4th of July tomorrow.

Fourth of July in our house is sitting at the pool with some Frozen Cocktails (Jimmy Buffet's Margarita Maker) and some grilling. Hamburgers,Black Bean Burgers, Hotdogs and sausage rings are standard. Instead of making salads I make my macaroni pie. (In a supersized fry pan 12 eggs, 1 pound of cooked angel hair pasta, red pepper, chopped garlic, pitted and chopped italian black olives, toasted pine nuts, broccali rabe (blanched), sun dried tomato, 1 container of parm cheese and a big of mixed italian cheeses mix it all together and bake at 375 for about 1/2 hour or until golden brown and eggs are set)

Happy 4th! I do wish I was in DISNEY. I have never done WDW on the 4th, but I'm not sure I could handle the heat and the crowds. I sure would love one of those 4th of July Disney cupcakes right now!
We do our own fireworks here in WV. The whole neighborhood lights up, and the kids have sparklers. It's fun. As far as food goes, good old fashioned on the grill hot dogs and hamburgers (sometimes steak). Being from MD, I also love blue crabs, but too expensive!
Speaking of which, is there any place to get blue crabs in WDW? Maybe Fulton's? Crab legs are great, but there's nothing like a blue crab. I also love crab cakes. The best one I had was @ Flying Fish Cafe. Anyone else eat some excellent crab cakes at WDW?
Happy Independence Day everyone!:D

4th of July for us is usually potato or macaroni salad and the meat sometimes varies from hamburgers, hot dogs, bratwust, or ribs. But the potato or mac salad is usally good and full of mayonaise (Hellmanns of course). To drink it is usually beer and lemonade. I also typically make a peanut buster fudge ice cream dessert.
Cheers, like the sound of that fudge ice, hmm.

How about a Vodka filled watermelon or some jello shots? ;) We also roast corn and just about any other in season vegetable we can find on the grill. Baked beans, fruit cobblers, pies, fresh fruit bowls, home made ice cream, pasta salad and fresh lemonade are a few more of our common eats on a summer holiday cook out.
Love the watermelon, had it before,MIL had eyes like Buster Keaton.:)

For the most part, it's food on the grill. And lots of beer. With a respectable showing from the stronger alcohol varieties. If you can grill it, it's good for the 4th.
Nice one, unfortunately my barbies in the garage due to this wet stuff that keeps falling from the sky.:)
