Independence Air to cease service from Stewart-Newburgh in October

I love Orange County so much. For those of you who didn't read The Record this morning, FlyI is ceasing flights from Stewart in October. A full refund is available or airline credit. This leaves us with only brand new Allegiant Air to fly to Florida from Stewart. This sucks.

Allegiant has no flights back home the day we're coming home. So we don't know if we're going to have to add a day on (shucks...) or fly out of Newark on JetBlue. Or even drive down (I kind of miss the drive).

Soon there will be no passenger service out of Stewart. We already go to Newark because you can save a few hundred dollars.

My dad got us reservations on Allegiant. Now we're flying into Sanford and can't use DME so we have to get a shuttle because renting a car would be about $700. I really just wanted to fly out of Newark.
