I don't know if you guys know or have heard this Tom Hanks is starring as Walt in a new film about his pursuit of Mary Poppins rights

According to this post, production has started today, and they'll be filming in California, specifically the Walt Disney Studios and Disneyland, according to the article.

Unfortunately the script is crap. I've read it. It does not portray P.L. Travers accurately (she detested children) and does not portray Walt as a real man with vices (makes him out to be the grandfatherly martyr). Unless they're doing drastic re-writes along the way, this is going to be a grossly inadequate sugar-coated crap-fest.

It seemed to me when they hired The Blind Side director, that they were going for
sugar and schmaltz. Of course we're going to get a romanticized Walt. And ya know,
that might be fun to see, even if not true. I've read a bunch of books about Walt,
and I know the warts, but dang if I don't get that happy feeling when I see him, still.
