For the 3rd gate... it seems only natural that the theme be games/toys!! Toys, video games and board games will be included within this theme as Hasbro, Nintendo, SEGA, Namco, and Blizzard team up with the imaginative geniuses at Universal Creative to develop a show-stopping 3rd gate!!

Facts:
Size - 215 acres (115 of which will be developed at park opening) with 100 acres for expansion later. This also doesn't include spaces within existing lands for attractions.
Projected Opening Date - October 1st, 2021 - getting TDO off of their laurels for the 50th is a win win for everyone!
Layout - spokes layout like Magic Kingdom

Lands (opening day) -
Boardwalk Avenue: themed to Monopoly with a condo made of blocks (either Jenga or ABC blocks) as the central weenie
Mushroom Kingdom
Hyrule
Azeroth
Whimisical Meadow (Candy Land, My Little Pony, etc)
Pokeworld
Syfy City (Star Fox, Metroid, F-Zero)
8 Bit Alley (Pac-Man, Sonic, Frogger, etc)

Future land possiblities-
Toyland
Yoshi's Island
DK Country
TMNT area

More coming soon!!

I wonder what a good name for your Universal Orlando video game park would be... Tricky.

My idea for the name: Universal's Realms of Imagination (plays into the idea of toys, board games, and video games while still being a vague and general name)

But without further adieu - the first two areas!!

Boardwalk Avenue

Themed as a colorful, affluent, bustling city, a Mr. Monopoly statue adorns the entrance with plenty of shops in a more glamorous vein similar to Main Street USA. Shop and restaurant ideas are welcome since I am only good at conjuring themes for lands and ride concepts.

The only attraction:
Million Dollar Cruise (a boat/transport ride with stations in Hyrule, Whimsical Meadow, Syfy City and expansions pads for ports in Toyland and DK Country)

Mushroom Kingdom

Bowser and Peach each have full scale castles on opposite ends of the spectrum. Using "levitating" tech, boxes with question marks float above the surrounding area while pipes are laid out everywhere.

Attractions:

  1. Mario's Mushroom Expedition (4D shoot 'em up coaster - will explain in detail tomorrow) - 46"
  2. Luigi's Mansion (Omnimover with slight spinning maneuvers)
  3. Koopa Flight (custom elevated carousel with interactive features)
  4. Peach Revue (an audience orientated musical show located inside her castle with a M&G as post-show and a walkthrough of the castle as the queue)
Room will be left for a Delfino Plaza/Mario Kart addition in the years after opening

Sonic could get a distinct land. However, the current content of the franchise is closer to Whimsical Meadow than 8-Bit Alley.

And about the TMNT area... It could be combined with Sonic and maybe DK/Yoshi to make Animal Coven.
