An ASTM report (American Society for Testing and Materials) are reports for certain things like products, attractions, food, cars, basically everything. They deal with safety standards, qualifications, tests that need to pass and other stuff. Engineers and contractors live by them. I have to deal with them at my job (consumer products) and when i was shifting through the massive amount of catalogs I came across the reports, guidelines, etc. for theme & amusement park attractions. It's an interesting read, somewhat hefty but good to know about seeing how certain things need to be taken into consideration when designing attractions.
