Hi

Now that Disney Interactive have confirmed that Ultimate Ride is the first game from the new Imagineering brand, what can we expect from this brand in the future?

A DISNEY theme park sim?

I hope so. This would be soooooo cool being able to mix and match rides, attractions, themes and resorts from all disney parks world wide!

Do you think we will ever get a Disney Theme Park Sim?

I diffinately think that they will have a Disney Sim Game. Like I said in my other post, they are really looking into making Ultimate Ride: Disney Edition.

If you hope on over to www.ultimateridegame.com and click on message board; then click on talk to Hopbell (the producer of Ultimate Ride) You can tell him what your wish list is for Ultimate Ride Disney Edition. Then, he will take your post and show it to the Imagineers for new ideas. You can also just go over there and read what others ideas are (that's what I like to do). This one guy wrote a 14 post long essay on what he thinks should be in the new game. He had some really good ideas.

So go on over and check it out.

I was coming up with ideas for a Disney Park Sim while @ EPCOT & MGM Saturday.

They will be OFFICIALLY announcing the Disney Addon for Ultimate Ride sometime in january or febuary...so keep an eye out

Where did you read this? I haven't played the game, just seen it at the disney store on their display computer. The background looks very bad compared to RollerCoaster tycoon. If they do come out with a Disney add on pack, I might buy it IF they let you build your own theme park.

The game is actually pretty fun..its just a coaster simulator...no theme park building....you can DL the demo from www.ultimateridegame.com . The expansion pack is just going to have more props as well as Disney themed coasters...

I got this game for X-mas and i hate it!the only thing i like is the scenery,i hope the add-on pack is like rollercoaster tycoon or at least sim coaster

Nope...that would requier a ocmplete re-write of the game engine...

It is only going to add a "make your own" pop feature, and give you more coaster types anre pre-made rides/props...maybe even a bit more scnery..but thats not confirmed yet..

Yep....thats all teh game engine can handle...

I still would like to know where everyone is getting their information. Does ANYONE have a link or copy of the article that saids they are doing an add-on pack?????? I couldn't even find this infomation on the Game's web site.

The games web page has a very nice forum where the developers talk opening about all future plans considering the game. The expansion pack is one of them

Actually, The Ultimate Ride expansion pack isn't going to be the Disney Edition Game. The Disney Edition Game will be a separate game. If you go to www.ultimateridegame.com you can you click on screenshots and see new pictures of the expansion pack.

You can see in the pics that they added half-corkscrews and half-loops. The scenery around it looks more realistic also. Maybe your thinking about the prop editor and making props that look like disney stuff.

Where did you hear that the Disney Edition would be announced within January to February? Are u talking about the expansion pack? I think I remember reading that hopbell, the main creator of the game, said that the Disney Edition game was not a definate but was likely to happen. Maybe you could share with me where you got your info on the Disney Edition Game.

They are planning 2 packs..the first one (the only one that has OFFICIALLY be announced) is the one you posted about..the Disney themed one has been confirmed by Hopbell..but not by the game company yet..so news on it has been pretty quiet...

I really hope they don't do that! I hope they do a completely new game. I liked the one guys ideas in saying that they should start off with Magic Kingdom, as the original game, and have the rest of the parks as Expansion Packs.

The only things "confirmed" are new props....and pre-made coasters that are "identical" to the real life counterparts...
