Fractal, looks like we're working together on this project!

We have to do a flat ride, and two shops.

Right now, I'm thinking:

For the flat ride, a redesigned Zamperla Rockin' Tug, similar to the Caddo Lake Barge at Six Flags over Texas:

http://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/rides/CaddoLakeBarge.aspx
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L4Nrxq-1Bew

We can have it centered around Goofy's Fishing Trip (that could be the name), with a musical soundtrack to accompany it.

For the shops:

Mickey's Trading Post: A small shop selling a variety of small trinkets and other Disney outdoor themed souvenirs.

And I'm awaiting conformation on this, but a shop located at the exit of the large ride.

Also, any ideas for the central attraction?

I was thinking a whole ride based on the Goofy Movie. Maybe a water ride of some sorts. But that sounds like a lot of Goofy for one area. Maybe a ride based on Humphrey the Bear. I think a Mickey and Pals Adirondack Canoeing Adventure would be a good choice. Maybe even a Chip N' Dales Rescue Rangers Attraction. Or a TailSpin ride. There's so many oppurtunities!

Fractal?

I kinda need your conformation on these attractions and shops... so I can start writing backstories, scripts....

And more importantly, so we can get crackin' on the E-Ticket.

I was in a show tonight, and will be in my final performance tomorrow. After that, on Sunday, I can fully wrap my head around this. Get started on your attraction, I will do the shops.

Two shops....

Minnie's Trading Post
Anyone who's ever been to camp knows that hitting the camp store is crucial to an enjoyable summer. Camp essentials such as bug spray, suntan lotion, towels, and toiletries (all branded to Camp Minnie-Mickey of course) are all available at modest prices for those who came to camp ill-prepared. Of course, camp isn't all about brushing your teeth and soaking in Skin So Soft, as Huey Dewy and Louis pointed out. And so Minnie has given them a corner of the store, in which guests can purchase what the three brothers thought were camp essentials, Comic Books and Candy Bars. Featuring a large selection of Marvel Comics and candy bar favorites from around the country (so everyone can have a little taste of home) this section of the store always seems to be a little bit more crowded than the other.

Chip and Dales Nut House
When Mickey was designing the layout of the camp with his friends, they all made several requests. Daisy wanted to ensure there was a garden, Ludwig Von Drake felt it important to include conservation . Chip and Dale requested the planting of several nut trees. Goofy, known around the kingdom for his sweet tooth, saw a chance to try out some new recipes and asked for Chip and Dales help. Using the nut harvest, combined with Goofy's expertise, the tiny tag team were able to develop some marvelous sweet AND savory nutty concoctions. Toffee Pecans, Roasted Almonds, Honey Roasted Peanuts, Spicy Cashews, Salted Pistachios, and Wasabi Peanuts are among the rotating offerings here in this specialty store. Guests can view cast members working on the delectable offerings via a large window on the side of the building.

Thoughts?

Also, here's the ride description, as of now:

Ride: Zamperla Rockin' Tug, redesigned in the style of Caddo Lake Barge at Six Flags over Texas.
http://www.sixflags.com/overTexas/rides/CaddoLakeBarge.aspx

Story: Ahh... life at Camp Minnie Mickey. There are a variety of activites, such as canoeing and playing in colorful treehouses. The favorite pasttime of Goofy, however, is fishing! Guests can board Goofy's green and orange raft located in the middle of Lake Camp Minnie Mickey, and prepare themselves for a wacky spinning ride that not only spins in circles, but runs on a half-pipe shaped track.

Drawings would go here.

Script:
Goofy: Hiya folks! It's me, Goofy! (laughs) Thanks for coming out to help me and my darlin' son Max catch some fish!

Max: Dad, you're embarassing me...

Goofy: Gawrsh, sorry son. (Laughs) Well, everybody ready? Here we go!

The ride begins. Throughout the ride, commentary will be heard from Goofy and Max, such as:

Goofy: Gawrsh! There's a big one!

Max: Wow! The fish are really bitin' today, huh, dad?

The ride eventually comes to a stop.

Goofy: Thanks, everybody! We really caught some fish today! Enjoy the rest of your day here at Camp Minnie Mickey! Awww... great job son, my little boy...

Max: Dad....

The ride vehicle doors open and the guests exit.

Music: The entire ride experience will have a musical accompaniment. An acoustic guitar will play a campfire-y instrumental song to be played behind the dialogue from Goofy and Max.

I think this is a good ride. I'm not sure I like the inclusion of Max, but this is your concept, so we'll go with it. (I'm more of a traditionalist, but his addition doesn't detract, just a different style.)

I guess my only other concern for this is capacity, but that's ok. I might revise some of the story/dialogue a little bit when I compile our part for the submission.

As I have a long rehearsal with my middle school students followed by a wedding, I will be away from 1pm on tomorrow.

The more I'm thinking about it, the more I'm not sure what the catching of fish has to do with the ride. I'm not knocking the concept, but maybe instead of fishing, this could be Goofy's boat ride, or find some way of including fishing into the ride. The dialogue mentions fishing quite a bit, but nowhere do the guests fish.

I know that I should have brought this up before right now, but it just dawned on me.

What do you think of the following revision?
I mean, it's a major change, feel free to tell me no, or to change it further.

The favorite pasttime of Goofy, however, is sailing! Goofy has been sailing on the lakes of Camp Minnie-Mickey for years, but things are about to change. Goofy has saved up and purchased a used tour boat, in an effort to take guests on a tour around the lake.

(laughs) Thanks for joining us on our tour of Lake Minnie-Mickey. Everybody give a big hello to my first mate Max!

Max: Dad, you're embarassing me...

Goofy: Gawrsh, sorry son. (Laughs) Well, everybody ready? Here we go... Now which button do I push to start this thing?

Max: Dad, you did read the instructions that came with the boat, didn't you?

Goofy: I think it's the red one... (Ride starts forward) Or maybe it was the Green one... (Ride reaches end of track and starts backwards.) Wait that's not it...

Max: Dad, stop pushing buttons!

Goofy: Wait, I think the buttons are stuck... (Ride is now going back and forth, but not rotating.) Ok folks, over here you can see the docks of Lake Minnie-Mickey, and over here, well, let me turn the boat around so you can see. (The boat starts to spin) How's that folks, can you see alright out there?

Max: Dad, you can stop spinning the boat around!

Goofy: Garsh, allright, well...

Max: What is it dad?

Goofy: The steering wheel came loose... Uhm, you folks sit back and relax, my first mate and I are going to figure this out and get right back on our tour. (now the ride starts picking up speed and getting wilder and wilder) Ok, if I tighten this, press that, shift this, pull that... Nope, that didn't do it.

Max: Dad, hit the emergency button!

Goofy: Well garsh, why didn't I think of that... Thanks son, I can always count on...

Max: DAD, THE BUTTON!!!

Goofy: (The ride starts to slow down) There we go... Sorry about that folks, I'll get this figured out soon, and then we can try again. Have a good day everyone!

I will be popping on for about five minutes sometime between four and five pm EST. I am going to only have time to cut and paste, so whatever you want should be finalized and posted in this thread at that time.

Oh, wait. I forgot to post my whole jumping fish AA idea....

OK, so I think we should stick with the original Fishing idea (more traditional Camp-Minnie-ish) and I'll add in the thing I forgot...
