Imagineer Internship?

I have read some articles online about internship for college kids during the summer at WDW. My dad's friend's daughter did this once, but I can't contact her. Has anyone done a internship at WDW, especially for Imagineering?

New here, still learning the ropes.

Internships in the several engineering-related departments, including WDI, are incredibly competitive, but they do exist. I have a friend who, after a couple of tries, landed an internship with Ride and Show Engineering and is now statused to that department.
