For those of you who remember a thread from a while back about Firefox, I was, at that point, vehemently against Macs. Since then, I've used them more at school, getting more and more used to the set up. Because of this, when my computer from March 2003 essentially died, I decided to check out the Macintosh side of things. And I love it. Here's more in-depth info, for anyone who might be considering buying one.
Sunday
After convinving my mom that a Mac would work on our home network, my family trekked over to Crossgates Mall and its Apple Store. The employees there were very helpful, and we walked out of there with a 17-inch model with a gig of ram for $1,399, an Epson all-in-one printer that was essentially free, and a copy of Microsoft Office Student and Teacher edition for essentially $75. So we were good. After taking it home and struggling with the barely English-speaking people at Linksys, we got it hooked up to the intenet and were transferring files. By the end of that night, the thing was up on my desk and enamored by my immediate family.
More tomorrow, got to go to bed tonight.
