How much of your regular clothes should you bring, dress clothes, and will they give you your uniform to wear? and how many?

I'm just trying to fit everthing in my car and i like to pack very tight so any help or suggestions from past esxperience would be greatly and i mean GREATLY appretiated. I leave on Sunday so my time is running out.

I would bring at least half of the clothing you have at home. I know when I moved down for my CP, I took a bunch of clothing with me, like two suitcases full. It's up to you though...I probably took too much. Hope that helps!

Ok this is something that drove me insane too when I did the program. If you are not taking any Disney "classes" only take one or two pairs of dress clothes (to wear out to dinner or to special events you may want to attend).

Bring at least "two weeks" worth of regular clothes to wear- if that makes sense, but be sure to bring both warm weather and cool weather clothes for the fall/winter (if your going to be there during that time). I was surprised how quickly I became used to the warm weather and felt cold in the late fall/winter. I got along with 1 pair of sneakers, 1 pair of sandals, and 1 pair of dress shoes.

The costume (uniform) question is a little harder to answer. You will be given a costume, and depending on which park you work at you may be able to take as many as 5 home at a time or you will have to pick up your costume at the park. I worked at DAK and was able to take out 5 costumes at a time, but when I worked at the other three parks I had to pick them up from costuming that day. I think its because of the fact costuming is backstage at the other parks, but its off site at DAK. However they require specific socks and footwear that they do not provide. These can be anything from tan- black- or white socks (I know your thinking who wears tan? lol- I thought that too and now I own some) to black/white sneakers, black dress shoes, hiking boots, etc. I worked at DAK in merchandise and needed tan or black socks, black dress shoes, hiking boots, and black sneakers.

Hope this helps!

What to pack

I packed all my summer clothes, a few nicer/business outifts and some colder weather outfit (jeans, sweatshirt).
Disney costuming employs Cast Zooming. This means that you are able to take home with you 5 of your cotume. Example: 5 pairs of pants, 5 shirt, 1 hat (if applicable), 1 belt (if applicable). You have to provide your own shoes and socks, usually black or white. I suggest to get shoes that are VERY comfortable, you'll do a lot of walking or standing most likely.
Overall, remember to have a blast. It's the best experience you'll ever have no matter where you work.
