Everyone knows Disney World at this point. If you don't you've been living under a rock. Just because the Super Bowl MVP or the President says they'll go, doesn't mean a whole lot anymore. I think the whole thing is kind of silly and a waste of money.

Although for the Super Bowl it's almost like a tradition at this point. Heck if I was Super Bowl MVP I wouldn't mind taking a trip WDW.

That makes me wonder, If the President wants to go on a ride would they first clear out all other visitors, close the ride to everyone else, or simply let him go to the front of the line?

What happens if there is an accident on SM because of the rickety support structure?

Ugh, I would hate to be anywhere the President is, just for that reason. I'm sure it would bottleneck everything!

Maybe he said he's going because of the HoP thing. I didn't hear this statement from him, so I don't know the context.

Also, since NBC has the Superbowl this year (not ABC), maybe the Disney World statement won't be made (since Disney owns ABC, not NBC). Or maybe there's no correlation.

The statement is actually an advertisement that Disney pays for...it doesn't matter which network it appears on. It's a typical ad...even though Disney owns ABC they still have to pay ABC money to air commercials...this is no different, so the network the Super Bowl airs on has no significance.

FTR, it's going to be Fast Willie Parker of Clinton, NC who gets to go to WDW this year.

Go Steelers!

I'd just like to say ditto to this! Go Steelers!

And I always thought the statement was just tradition - something someone says when they've just won something major and they're really excited. If it's an advertisement, that's sort of disappointing.

That's what I was thinking. I wonder if advisers would allow a president to go to a place like WDW, or if they would be too worried about losing peoples votes, I can hear it now...

"Heck no I ain't gonna vote for that guy, he made us wait 4 hours for Splash Mountain!"

I wouldn't mind Obama skipping me in line. What is a couple gonna make a diference in a long line. Especially when its the president, Id be honored to let him skip me haha. The thing that concerns me is that the guy is BIG TIME security risk, thats the truth of it. Probably more so than any of our past presidents. Im not saying that anything would happen! Im fairly confident it wouldnt. I just wouldn't suggest anyone be in the park when he goes. Maybe I've seen to many movies but the potential is for sure there, disneys security checks are sub par at best. Im sure they would step it up a thousand notches if he were to be there, even so I would NOT be there.

Unfortunately, it is an ad...I believe it started with Eisner.
