Illuminations idea

Okay, not really a topic for Imagineering, but this is the closest forum location that I could find.

One thing that seems to annoy me when I try to view ROE is the fact that I have to stake out a spot 45-90-minutes before the show just to get a good view. And then you usually have a bunch of people crowd around you if it is a good spot. An idea that I am thinking of is a sit down meal service that would be offered from several of the World Showcase countries. The countries that I am thinking of are Germany, Italy, Japan, the U.K., Canada, Mexico, and Norway. You would be served meals that would usually be offered in that country. People who would reserve seats for this and would be seated at an island like platform that sticks out from the World Showcase walkway (like the one in Italy) and it would have 3-4 rows of seating (see the first and second links for diagrams). People would have to make reservations for the seating and they would be seated an hour before the show (7:45-8:00). You would have your meal and then would be served dessert right before the show time. I think that this would be a great experience if you were to do it.

--The red areas are where I think these "platforms" should go.

What do you think about my idea??

i like the idea ... but i think that it would bee cooler if there were circular tables spread out so that there is less structure to the seating ...

I'll think about the tables, but I was thinking that a bar-like table might be better to ensure that everybody sitting might be facing the show (don't have to turn chair or turn around). But I'll think about it with tables.

I've been to many banquets that included entertainment; we were always seated circular, but had no trouble turning our chairs to view the entertainment.

Okay, thanks for the input. I'm pretty busy this week so if anybody is expecting updates on the drawings then don't expect them until this weekend.
