I have heard of a lot of People who "share" and Illuminations cruise with other readers of this and other boards. Where is the best place to look for people that are looking to fill up a boat.

My Girlfriend and I will be in the world and would love to take this cruise.. but would need to share with a few more people to keep the cost down

Our Dates Dec 2nd, 4th or 5th (will be at MVMCP :xmas: on the 3rd) please let me know if any of you know of 2 open seats on a boat for any one of those days!

We have reservations for the same cruise (Illuminations) for wed nov 17 so if anyone is going to be at EPCOT and would like to split the $120 cost for the cruise that would be great just email me or private message me

I hate to throw cold water on the topic, but I thought I would add my opinion on this cruise. My wife and I took the cruise as part of our honeymoone package in Nov 2002. Although the cruise is nice, and takes you around Swan and Dolphin, Boardwalk, over to Disney Studios, it parks you under the walkway between the "international" entrance and France ( I think thats where it is at), but I know that your under a bridge and the island in the middle of the lagoon tends to block some of your view. My wife and I were somewhat dissappointed in it and wished we had done something else.

If anyone else has taken the cruise since and it has changed, please, please speak up as I wouldnt want my experience to detract if the cruise has changed.

Heading for the great escape.
It parked under the bridge when we did it last summer. First class view, however later arriving boats had to have had a more restricted view because of the island and the curve of the water way. We were moored to the central pillar and the breathless(?) was on the other side.

It was fantastic cause after the event the cpt took his time and we pottered about for ages letting all the othrer boats back in first. He was full of tales and useless information and made it a memorable evening.

I would do it again no question.

This was our situation. We were behind another boat and against the far left side. This was likely the reason for our poor view....

However, the wishes cruise is longer, it takes you around the lagoon before the fireworks show then you sit close to MK and watch the show. You are close enough to see the whole show and hear the music and there are no obstructions to viewing.
A few years ago we booked the Illuminations cruise and we did park under the bridge. It is still a great experience but I liked the MK show better from the boat. We also shared that cruise with another couple and both groups did it because it was part of our packages. At the end of the trip, we got a detailed list of what we "purchased" with our package and we ended up "paying" for the whole price of the cruise, more than likely the other couple did as well. It could have been because it was included in the packages. More than likely it was. Perhaps when you book the cruise you can request to share the cruise, possibly they get requests like that all of the time and can help you out.

We did an Illumination Cruise on a rainy evening. It was kind of nice being parked under the bridge and out of the rain. I also liked not having to fight the crowd out of Epcot. I would do it again.
