Let's say you wake up one morning and you find yourself the new head of Walt Disney Pictures and is now faced with the task of creating 12 Movies (excluding sequels) that would shape the future of Disney Motion Pictures. What would those 12 Movies be?
here is my take on this, First of all I would re-establish Walt Disney Feature Animation as a place for traditional animation and re-opening the Orlando and Paris studios.
I would immediately set the who's who of Disney stroytellers on the first big animated project:
The Little White Horse - The beautiful valley of Moonacre is shadowed by the memory of the Moon Princess and the mysterious little white horse. To her surprise, Maria Merryweather, a stranger to Moonacre Manor, finds herself involved with what happened to the Moon Princess so many years before. Not at all deterred by the fact that none before her have succeeded, nor by any discouragement that crosses her path, she is determined to restore peace and happiness to the whole of Moonacre Valley..... Based on the book by Elizabeth Goudge.
The next animated feature will be a quirky comedy similar to Aladdin but without the big musicals.
Dragon Tower - based on the fabled Animal Kingdom Ride. A Boy must help a group of renegade bats steal a mysterious treasure guarded by an evil, jaded Dragon.
The third and perhaps the most visually ambitious animated picture ever atempted since Fantasia:
The Snow Queen - based on the Hans Christian Andersen classic, Th Snow Queen is a visual tour de force as the magical worlds of the clasic tale comes to life.
Following the Snow Queen would be a quirky satirical look at the land of nursery rhymes.
Sheep - "Mary had a little lamb...." Sheep is the story of Larry, the world's most obedient little lamb who loves her master Mary very very much. But when Mary gets herself kidnapped, Larry must brave the vast kingdom of Mother Goose as he along with Baba, a black sheep and Sven, a Duckling who "just can't wait to grow up and be beautiful" go on a mission to rescue Mary.
Noah's Ark - A young boy named Noah must face up to his peers and follow his faith as he builds a titanic ark in this epic tale of biblical proportions.
