If you only had 1 day...

Soooo...I am so excited that I MAY get one day in Disney World in February! Probably February 5th. I would love to see the New Fantasyland (of course!) and ride the new Test Track. Those would be my goals for the day.But would love to catch a ride on Tower of Terror (my absolute FAVE) and catch some fireworks. : )

This would be my 6th trip so I know my way around pretty well (with the exception of Disney transportation which I haven't used all that much.) I am in no way concerned with food choices, I can grab something near wherever I am. AND I would be by myself! So I have no one else to worry about!

Crowds aren't crazy in early February, right?

Any suggestions on how to best accomplish these things? Is it possible? I think only you Disney lovers could give some of these answers!

Just going off of the three rides you mentioned:

#1- park at DHS and go on ToT.

#2 and #3 are interchangeable depending on which fireworks you'd rather see. If you want to see Wishes, do EPCOT before MK. If you want to see Illuminations, do MK before EPCOT. Either way, I'd suggust parking at the TTC so you can use the monorail.

Test Track has a single rider line, so waiting there should be minimal. That could factor into your decision.

Edit: Just checked touring plans.com, and they list a crowd level of 3 out of 10 for Feb 5. You should be fine as far as crowds go.

If I had only one day I'd spend the morning in MK and after lunch take the monrail to EPCOT for Fast Track and whatever else I had time for. I'd finish my night off with a French pastry glass of wine and illuminations.

THANK YOU! That is basically what I was thinking but wondered if there would be HUMONGOUS lines in Fantasyland....I know there may be anyway but it might be better in the morning? That is where I am back and forth about how to do it.

And thank you for the touring plans number! That makes me feel a better :)

In the Parks
No
see what park opens first and be there at opening. then be sure to arrive the the park you want to see fireworks last. as others have said, crowds wont be bad, but you will be relying on transportation all day. be sure to have a plan. epcot opens at 8 (EMH). id start there with test track, then head over to soarin. then id head to hollywood for 9 am opening, get a FP for TS, hit ToT, do single rider RnR. after those three, id head to MK to enjoy whatever i wanted. there will be plenty of time to see the new fantasyland. as of now MK closes at 8 and epcot at 9. if you hussle, you may be able to catch wishes from Main ST, then head to epcot for illuminations.

I like the way you think! This sounds like a really good plan! MK is my favorite park so I would have no trouble at all spending most of my time there. Thanks!

I GET TO GO!!!! I am so excited!!! I have one whole day and then the next half day! NOW the question is...where to for dessert when I get there?

I am driving down and will get there in the evening and would like to celebrate with dessert! (outside of the parks). Where should I go? Keep in mind.... I LOVE ICE CREAM :D I was thinking maybe Beaches and Cream or Ghirardelli.

Wow one day! I would open HS and hit ToT and my other favs. Before I left I would stop at Starring Rolls and put my chocolate peanutbutter cupcake in my purse to eat on the bus on my to the Contemporary. I would take the monorail to MK where I would hit Splash Mountain and Pirates of the Carribean. Stop at CHH for a lobster roll and then I would be on my way to Mexico with possibly a stop at Test track and Soarin deprnding on the time! Good Luck!!!

Start out at the MK, then ride the monorail over to EP. Leave EP through the international gateway and catch the boat to HS.

Hmmm... I was actually thinking the exact reverse, since I want to see Wishes! :) But I am glad to know that some form of that is do-able. I have never gone through the international gateway so I am a little nervous about that... How far is it from HS to EP?

Probably take you about 25-30 mintues to walk from HS to EP. Might be best to take the friendship boat. Not sure what order the boat drops off but get off at the Boardwalk and walk through the international gateway. It is a very short distance and leads you into the back of France/United Kingdom. A boat also goes from Boardwalk to EP.
