Hi:

Hope somebody can help:confused:. According to your experiences (If you already married at WDW or a Disney Cruise), please help.

1. How many people including bride and broom did you had at your wedding???

2. How much did you paid to WDW or the Cruiseline for your wedding???

3. How much do you think could be spend in a Disney Wedding at WDW Orlando for like 20-30 people including the couple??

4. Is it cheaper in a Disney Cruise?? How does that works, if you know??

I've being searching info, but about the prices (that is the important thing)... nothing clear comes up:(.

I'm trying to start planning my wedding and we think (my boyfriend and I) it could be better if we make something out of town. You know, because of the spending for to many people that is invited just because is the right thing to do, and NOT because is the people that really matters (without being that obvious:lookaroun).

Happy New Year.

Hope you could help,

frida

There are so many variables that can swing the cost largely, so it is very difficult to give you info based on what you have posted. Best bet is to get in contact with Disney Fairytale weddings. They will give you all the info you need, and they don't pressure you into anything, so there is really nothing to lose.

Very roughly, it sounds like you are between $10000 and $20000, but as I said before, this can swing greatly depending on what you do.

I recently got married at the Boardwalk resort at Disney and hopefully can help you out. I had what is now an escape wedding. It sounds like you are looking at this option for the same reason that we did. We wanted a small wedding with just immediate family but didn't want to have to tell all of our other friends and family members that we didn't want them at the wedding (not because they arn't important to us, but because we wanted something small but both have big extended families - guest list would have been 200). The disney wedding let us have the small wedding we wanted.

1.) You are allowed up to 20 people including the bride and groom - some of the locations don't fit that many though.

2.) The base package is now about $4000 (was $3000 when we got married) This includes the location, wedding planner, limo, basic flowers, basic photos, cake, violinist, and champaign. They did an excellent job and really made it special. It requires the bride and groom to stay at one of the disney owned hotels (not included) for like 3 nights. The only thing they don't include is the officiant fee though they do give you a list of people in the area who they have worked with in the past.

We paid a total of about $6000 for the wedding (not including picture re-prints which are insanely expensive) The extra $3000 was for Video ($1000), Castle portrait session ($900), Additional flowers ($700) and other misc add ons.

3.) Could be as little as $4400 (basic package + officiant + extra bottles of champaign) or as much as $100,000 or more if you really go all out - if you can pay they will do just about anything for you.

If you have more than 20 people you will have a minimum of $10,000 (most weekdays) - $25,000 (saturdays) bill depending on what day of the week you choose. The $10,000 may not be all that outrageous as I think that can include your hotel stay costs (someone please correct if wrong).

Your best bet would be to make a list of all your questions and call the wedding planners to get the information you need. The phone number is on the website or you can leave your number on the website and have them call you back later.

Thanks so much. One more question; Does the price included food at the reception???

Haven't done it. (Yet) Looking into it though. My understanding, on the larger weddings Disney essentially sets a minimum cost which is the 10 - 25k. That cost includes whatever you want. If you just want like 10 characters there for an hour at 650 each, thats 6,500 towards the minimum cost. They have base prices on most of the information at mouseweddings (dot) com. Not an official site, and they may not be 100 percent accurate, but it will at least give you a ball park figure before you talk to any of the Disney Wedding Planners.

Edit: Apparently disneyweddings.com will let you create a "Wishbook" to see the actual current prices.

The $4000 base fee for the escape weddings include the cake and a bottle of champaign for a sort of mini-reception. If you want an actual reception with an escape wedding you need to make arrangements for it to be at a different location. We didn't have an actual reception at disney but we did have a nice group dinner at Tony's that night. We talked to the resturant check in desk a couple hours early and told them what we were there for. They made sure our two tables were right next to each other and they decorated them with streamers and mickey confetti. It was a lot of fun.

I believe with the wishes weddings all reception costs go towards your minimum bill amount.

1. About 30ish

2. Many thousands. It varies so much, an exact amount wouldn't really help you.

3. Could be spent? Hundreds of thousands..and no doubt into the millions if you really wanted to.

4. I know nothing about getting married on the cruisline.

Call Disney Weddings and ask them these questions directly. They'll happily give you the most complete answers they possibly can.

1. How many people including bride and broom did you had at your wedding???

8

2. How much did you paid to WDW or the Cruiseline for your wedding???

I believe around $4,000 for our wedding (not including our boardwalk room or park tickets) at the Polynesian Resort. We did not pay for any accomodations/travel for our guest (parents/siblings).

3. How much do you think could be spend in a Disney Wedding at WDW Orlando for like 20-30 people including the couple??

If you stayed 20 and under, you can book an intimate wedding (or whatever they call it now) for around $4000. A Basic ceremony with musician and photographer, following by a simple cake cutting with fairy tale cuvee reception. You'll be done in an hour or so.

Otherwise, custom weddings have a minimum charge of $15,000 to $25,000 depending on the day of the week and time of the year.

4. Is it cheaper in a Disney Cruise?? How does that works, if you know??

No idea.

I've being searching info, but about the prices (that is the important thing)... nothing clear comes up:(.
check out http://www.disneywedding.com for more info on the packages and contact info for a wedding planner to discuss options.

Good luck!

Good Morning Frida!
Congratulations on beginning to plan a Disney fairytale wedding. It is a wonderful experience that you will never forget!

I was married at the Wedding Pavilion in December of 2005. Some things have changed since then but i've been keeping up with it. J Krafty was right about the base pricing and so forth. It is hard to get an exact amount because there are several variables that can make the price go up...such as different transportation or additional flowers, characters, etc.

for an escape wedding you are allowed 18 guests. 20 total people to include the bride and groom. some locations only allow up to 10 people.
There is also a 4 night requirement for the bride and groom at a Disney resort. this is not included in the price of the wedding.
some restaurants will allow you to have the cake sent there so everyone can enjoy it after your dinner/reception.

Also, Disney now allows escape brides to wear their dress to an illuminations dessert party should you choose to add that on. When we got married the illuminations dessert party was about $800ish for 15 people.

I have pictures too... www.princessmo123.shutterfly.com
If you'd like some more help or just want to chat about disney weddings please pm me or email me: princessmo123@verizon.net. i love chatting about disney fairy tale weddings. i'm already planning my vow renewal...LOL!!

Good Luck!

Have A Magical Day!

If you want the full story just read the link in my signature for our wedding details.

If you want a more typical wedding with sit down reception dinner you will be in the $15K-$25K range. But there are so many things that Disney can do for you that its true that whatever you can think up (and pay for$$$) they can do.

I think it would be best to visit www.disneyweddings.com or call to speak to a wedding planner. They will really be able to nail down more specifics for what you want.

All I can say is.......do it.!!!!!....it was not only the greatest day for us....those who attended our wedding said it was one of the best days (not just wedding) they had ever had. It will be a special memory for you and all those who attend.

Good Luck
