If you could visit ANY Disney-owned property, what would it be?
If I could, I would visit Golden Oak Ranch in Santa Clarita Canyon. I can see satellite images of a lot of good progress of it becoming a working studio backlot, like those of the like of Universal. It would be great to see that area opened up as a separate attraction somehow. But given the remoteness of the area I high doubt a tour would ever happen.
They built sets on the ranch back in the days of the Original Mickey Mouse Club for the Spin & Marty True-life series, it had many sets from the early live action films such as Toby Tyler, etc. It has also been used to film several new shows that are on TV today...NCIS, network movies, etc. I see they are taking large areas and building a street with different house and another area that can be used as a town of Anywhere USA. If they keep this up, this area will be very beneficial to the company for film production I the future.
