Let's say Disney decided to replace the Tommorowland Speedway with a fourth dark ride for Fantasyland... What movie would you base it on?

Considering its close location to the Mad Tea Party, I'd go for an upgraded version of California's Alice in Wonderland dark ride.

I chose other, only because of the considerable back catalogue of Disney properties that I've probably forgotten, but any of the choices provided would be great.

The Speedway needs to go, I agree. Replacing such a tried and true attraction should be done with something grand.

Great question though.

I think half of the space should go to Fantasyland and half should be used for a new Tomorrowland ride. For Fantasy side, Tangled. Can you just imagine turning the corner and coming into a vast room filled with floating laterns for "I see the light"?!? Wow! Or I always thought it would be fun if they made a choose your own adventure type ride where at different spots the ride stops and you can choose which door to enter: 1, 2, or 3. And it could be a different scene from a different movie in each door. Like something with Mickey Mouse but he travels into the stories of other movies like Donald in philharmagic. Hmmm maybe too similar then but I still think a fun idea nonethess.

In truth, my answer would be "nothing" because I don't think Tomorrowland should have its land be encroached upon. If I had to pick something, I'd go with a dark ride based upon the car chase scene from The Fox and the Hound.

The ride can be in a similar vein to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride with many sharp turns. It can differ in that the cars can travel in packs of 2 with the lead acting as Widow Tweed's truck and the back acting as Amos's car.

This will obviously never happen, but hey, this is a Disney fan forum where I can dream about any ride I please.

20k Leagues Under the Sea

I've been thinking about this question, and this is what I'd decided. It sort of bridges the gap between fantasy and the retro future/steam punk look. Building 20k with modern tech, more compliant ride vehicles, and a worthy budget, it'd be great. Of course I've always been fascinated with the Nautilus and its design, so anything that would put it back in WDW would be ok by me!

Sleepy Hollow dark ride.

But honestly, I've been less than impressed by the dark rides of recent years. Mr. Toad was one of a kind with the two different tracks, and SWA (the original) was an amazing subversive experience. PPF dated horribly, Little Mermaid is your typical "sum up the movie" dark ride, and WinnieTP is ok, nothing special.

My dream is that they would build a new Mr. Toad experience (a rollercoaster perhaps? with dark scenes).

But if there had to be another dark ride, then Sleepy Hollow is it. I'd rather something at least new (Even if it was an old idea that never came to fruition) instead of a copy-and-paste job from DL to MK (they already have Pinocchio and AIW).
