IF I could go to WDW right now I would...

Stay in a FW cabin, decorate it for Christmas and New Years and stay at least three weeks. I would have my own golf cart to run around the campgrounds and see all the decorations. I would buy comfy, cozy Mickey PJ's and get a great deal on a mickey blanket to put on my lap when I was out on the cart. I would go to MK each and every day, spend whatever I wanted on souvenirs, especially a waffle iron to make my own mickey waffles in my cozy home away from home.

I would eat lunch as often as I could at EoS, visit Epcot to travel around the world, talk to Crush and eat pizza. I would FINALLY get to HS to ride Toy Story and see the Hat one more time. I may even go to AK and sit for hours at the Tree of Life, admiring it all.

Most of all I would relax, feet in the sand at any one of the many beaches. What would you all do if you could go right now?

It's been a while since I experienced a WDW Christmas, so I'd say HECK YEAH to taking a trip right now! I'd stay at Wilderness Lodge. Warming up to one of those cozy fires in the lobby would be the perfect end to a Florida winter day. I'd run around Magic Kingdom documenting all the crooks and crevices of holiday décor, buy myself a seasonal treat or two, ride the Blue Ride at all hours of the day, and end the night reuniting myself with the beauty that is the Cinderella Castle Dream Lights. :inlove:

I'd take the tour around Contemporary, Polynesian, and Grand Floridian and admire (and simultaneously try not to eat) the gingerbread displays. I'd attend a Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party and enjoy cookies, hot cocoa, and all the festivities. I'd go to EPCOT and stroll around the World Showcase soaking in the different atmospheres and decorations - something you can't just 'get' from pictures. At Hollywood Studios, I'd do all my Christmas shopping...for myself! Heh! :hilarious: And I'd go to Animal Kingdom and take a stroll around the Tree of Life for a peaceful and tranquil moment. Then I'd go to Boma and eat a Zebra Dome and perhaps some other food if I'm still hungry. :D

I would stay at the Wilderness Lodge, my favorite resort at Christmas. I would start with breakfast at the Kona Café and have pineapple macadamia pancakes with sausage and a press pot of coffee. After breakfast I would monorail to the Magic Kingdom and tour until late afternoon. I would then head back to my resort for a short rest and then cleanup and head over to Epcot for the evening. For dinner I would go to the Yachtsman Steakhouse and have lobster bisque, a rib eye with a side of creamed spinach. Later, after touring the world showcase and if I had room, I would have the macaroons from Boulangerie Patisserie for dessert or maybe just order a cider at the Rose & Crown then relax and watch IllumiNations. Thanks for helping me “break up” my morning a quick trip to WDW even in my mind is always welcome.

I would stay at AKL, spend the morning at Animal Kingdom followed by breakfast at Tusker House. Then hit the hot tub for a few hours. Then head over to Yachtsman steakhouse for dinner and maybe head to Epcot to catch Illuminations!

I'd try and eat at all the restaurants i've never eaten in (as this isn't a real situation i'm just going to assume that my stomach is never full!) I'd see all the christmas decorations as i've never been at christmas time - the castle, the Osborne lights, the candlelight processional, the gingerbread creations and all the beautiful resorts all decorated!

I would be happy that I was missing the crappy snow/ice storm thats hitting us at the moment. My winter hat, gloves, coat, boots would be sitting in my closet being unused. The snow shovel and snowblower would be locked up tight in my garage. I'd be basking in the sun, thinking Yeah I got it good, ... winter in Disney. Unfortunately....:devilish::mad::devilish::mad::devilish:

One year and 8 days until my next Disney Christmas Vacation .... it's been since Christmastime-NYE 2009/10. So much has happened with our family since then, including my DH's brain aneurysm last December and my 24 year old DS will be having his tonsils out this Friday (heard it's a painful recovery when you are older) ... so next Christmas my family of four better be in tip top shape. The one thing I plan to do that I never did before is resort hop to see the decorations. And spend more time at AK (because we never seem to spend more than 1/2 day there).

Stay at the WL - the lobby is beautiful this time of year. Visit all the other resorts to see the decorations. Go see the Osborne Lights (and this time, not have to rush through in order to make our ADR which I blame on riding Star Tours 3 times in a row). Wander down Main Street, marveling at the decorations and the delicious holiday smells coming from the shops. BTW, why is there no tree in Town Square this year?

And shop.

I love imaginary trips! I do this in my head all the time and it helps me get thru a day some days. If I was on main street right now I would be having corn dog nuggets!

I will be thinking of you and hoping your family sees bright days in 2015!! The secret to tonsils....pain meds every four hours whether he feels he needs them or not. IF that pain gets out f control it is hard to catch up and therefore hard to stay hydrated.

Thanks for your thoughts and advice. I know he has his pain meds filled already. Tomorrow's the big day and I think I'm more nervous than he is about it.
