i have one of those flat~ish "one strap" backpacks that were all the rage about 5 years ago. its small so it fits behind my feet on rides easily, but big enough to hold a 2 light jackets, a bottle of water, money/id/credit cards, snacks, medication, and camera. the one strap feature is nice because the weight is distributed like a backpack, but you can "swing" it around to the front for easy access to the side zipper without taking it off

can you still buy these backpacks? they're not really in style anymore, but they work great, and look about a million times better than one of those packs

if you dont want to carry cash you can get a disney gift card from everywhere at disney and have cash put on it, then its swiped off at a till point when you want to purchase something.
i did this in feb when i stayed at all star resort got a card the first day then just put dollars on it everyday its like a small credit card, if you go to a water park there do small cards that you can wear around your wrist on a strap! great idea
great for kids so they dont blow the pocket money on one day!!

If you're only carrying id/tickets/cash and not things like asprin, bandages, sunscreen, etc. then get a small business card holder and put it in your pocket. Very slim, very easy. (Something like on this page. Though you can find them anywhere and for cheap if you're not picky.)

You can also get a camera bag with a pouch or compartment to store that kind of thing. Or get a locker and keep all the backup supplies in that.

I use a small backpack purse but often ditch it by the end of the night in the locker. (I need something to hold my regular glasses during the day so when I go into a ride, I can switch out of my sunglasses. The case alone is too bulky for a pocket.)

i got an idea if it isnt already used.. why dont disney on these card use like the last for digits of your ssn as an id for it (or some type of # that youll know by heart and cant forget) so that if you lose it they can pull it up and see the balance on it then reissue you another card with the remaining balance that was on the old card and cancel the old card so it doesnt work then you dont got to worry about losing it if there is a mishap that you do lose it. like i said i may be preaching to the choirbut its just a thought. but anyway back to the point me prsonally i wouldnt want my (cash) or id any where but either my wallet or fannie pack. like you im not to fond of fannie packs so i try to always buy shorts with pockets that either zip button or velcro shut and keep my wallet there but with you being a female i gues its kinda anoying to carry a pocket book all day so i can see your point but think long and hard before you walk all over disney with i new place to keep your money and id. hope this helps

what i do is put my money, ticket and stuff into a waterproof holder which is used for the water parks that way i dont have to stop a bag check and dont have to carry anything or put anything heavy around my waist.

Well see guys.... sometimes women do not have pockets in what they are wearing unlike us men who nomally do have pockects.
I would say a lanyard would be a good idea. Always know it's there and it won't go anywhere. I use my pin lanyard to hold my ID and credit cards but I hardly bring cash. I would stick to plastic only. Much easier

You could get one of those wallet on a string type things. It's just a small flat wallet that happens to be on a string. I'm going to get a Grateful Dead one from the Gypsy Rose catalogue for my trip in June.

If you have a boyfriend/husband/guy friend - use him!

For all those times I end up carrying my husband's wallet, keys, etc in my purse -- this is payback time! He has those nice velcro pockets in his cargo shorts and gets to carry everything (camera, cash, credit cards, chapstick, etc) for the two of us the entire time we're in the parks!

It's great!

I think packs in the parks are just about the best thing since sliced bread.
And my wife & (teenage) girls love me, so they don't make fun. :D

Well, not much, anyway.

I use my CM lanyard for EVERYTHING (even when I go to a party at school). You may not be able to find one (except on eBay), but it's not the type that is used for pin trading. It's a thicker cord. And if you're slender (like me), you can put it around your hips. I usually thread it through my belt loops, to ensure that it won't get lost.

I got one of those small money-clip wallet things (I think mine is from Fossil). It has enough room to slip in a total of 4 cards into two different pockets (one with a clear window for ID). There's also a money clip on the outside for bills.

I leave my regular wallet in the hotel room, and just carry around my AP, room key, license and a credit card. I use the CC for most purchases, but I carry around a small amount of cash for small purchases. The slim wallet then goes in my front pocket. If you get one of these, make sure you get the one with a spring-loaded money clip and not magnetic. I'm pretty sure that the magnet would cause havoc with the cards.

I also use this wallet at home when I'm going out to a bar or something...

EDIT: This is the wallet I have (though with a different clip style)

They have a bunch of different styles:

WOuld second the lanyard idea. I believe they sell them on property now for ID cards (little plastic sleeve) or you can find them online or in many stores at home. They are cheap and work very well in that you don't have to have any specific clothing to wear them. However, I might suggest getting two since they can sometimes break.

I also would suggest getting a small, wide cell phone carrier. I got one from Target for $7 to use for halloween this year (costume didn't have pockets), and it worked reat. I put three cards (ID, 2 credit) and some money. It also allowed me to clip it to me so I could always keep track. If you clip it to your pants, I would suggest clipping it between your body and the pants waist because it could easily get pickpocketed.

Any ideas on how to carry id and such. I dont want to carry a purse and not found of packs?

I'm a big fan of Maxpedition Gear. When the Neatfreak organizer comes out next month, I'm all over it. Enough space to carry my gear AND my 9mm.....but not at WDW:hammer: .

Thery have a selection of ID holders and wallets, and I plan on purchasing the the Rat wallet next week. It's got a belt loop, can hold my cell and all the important documents and cash.

I know it's not a LOT better than a purse, but I always go with a small backpack. It's nice to put over your shoulders so you're not pushing it back up on your shoulder all day. I can't go without all my 'supplies' like wallet, sunscreen, chapstick, comb, etc. Plus, it's nice to have something to put small purchases in that you don't want to have sent onto the room.
