Hubby and I are planning a cruise for our 25th Anniversary in October , 2012. I would like some ideas for hotels in the Cocoa Beach area. Our plan is to fly in the night before the cruise departs and spend that night at a motel near the Airport. Then get a ride to the cruise terminal. Once the cruise returns we want to spend two nights in a Hotel on the beach. Our cruise will run from October 18-21st. Our actual anniversary is October 22nd. So we want something nice with a honeymoon suite. Is there anything on the beach that fits that bill? Any thoughts?

Our family goes to Cocoa Beach every year before we start our Disney vacation. First thing you need to know is that not all the hotels are directly on the beach. Both the Hilton and Doubletree are on the beach. The Courtyard by Marriott and the Hampton Inn are located next to each other. They are not directly on the beach but there is a walkway to the beach.

We have stayed at the Hilton and Courtyard. Both are nice hotels with in ground pool areas. The Courtyard has balconies but the Hilton does not. I guess it boils down to your price range and amenity preference. You might want to visit the website for each hotel so you can compare amenities.

For a great meal, check out Florida's Seafood Restaurant. It's located on St. Rte 520 and overlooks the Banana River. They have great seafood. We always dine there when we go to Cocoa Beach.

Enjoy your trip!!
