I’ve always been very vocal about my dislike for USF’s Dreamworks land. I know I’m definitely not the target demographic but I think it’s a poorly designed land. I don’t wanna sit on a pedestal and say I’m better than people who went to college and learned how to design parks. But I do definitely have my issues.
It definitely lacks rides, there’s only one ride there that being the Trolls coaster. A “kiddie land” could easily fit in a bunch of flat rides and smaller rides to help a park’s capacity. It honestly baffles me how they didn’t just add a carousel to the land. It seems like the most no-brainer ride to put here. I also find the whole land is kinda of a cheap overhaul and over uses themed meet-and-greets. I do understand that Universal wanted to add a new land on the cheap cause of Epic Universe. But what could be a better land to add here?
Now you should take this with a pinch of salt when reading this. I am not a theme park engineer, nor have worked in the theme park industry. I just love coming up with new ideas for rides and attractions and I have to satisfy my ego by sharing them with people.

Shrek Land
- The play area will be changed to Puss In Boots Training Academy, with lots of shade and probably a small stage show for the area.
- Retheme! - Woody Woodpecker’s coaster will be rethemed to Puss in Boots & the Daring Dash. Just a simple retheme probably including a more well themed station and a new enclosed brake section with a dark ride scene.
- The Dreamworks Theater would have a new facade, being Shrek’s Swamp. Shrek’s Swamp Puppets would be a 15 minute show with Shrek telling the events of the first movie. Maybe even Lord Farquad intervenes in the show.
- Next to Shrek’s Swamp will be Swamp Snacks a food stall serving something like Ogre Boogers (Popcorn) and Cattail Surprise (Corndogs)
- Donkey’s Friendly Spot this would be a meet-and-greet space so guests can meet their favorite Shrek characters.
- New ! - We leave the forest and enter the land of Far, Far Away. Where in the city’s square is The Enchanted Carousel. Featuring Fairytale characters.
- The Three Little Pigs Diner will be a quick-service split into three sections themed after each of their houses.
- New! - Dragon Flyers is a flat ride that uses the Dumbo-style spinner. With the ride vehicles being themed to Dragons.
- New! - Behind the kiddie coaster will be a brand new water ride called Storybook River Boat Tours. This ride would travel down a river with show scenes themed to classic Fairytales but with a ‘Shrek’ twist to them.
- Next to the Dragon Flyers is the Waffle Shack, I only added it because I found out they had Shrek waffles at Universal Singapore’s Shrekland so I wanted to add them.
- New! - The Royal Castle will be the centerpiece of the land. With it holding the main attraction of the land. Shrek’s Mystical Mayhem! Is a shooter dark ride, with the blasters being wands. Join Shrek as he goes around Far, Far Away stopping a magical curse that’s turning ordinary objects into living creatures.
