Idea for marvel land in ioa

I know this will probably be battered by many people, but this is my idea for the marvel land retheme. Ready for this…
DC COMICS!
But it is more than meets the eye (no pun intended)! What would happen would be that DISNEY buys the rights to use the DC comic characters from 6 flags. Then Disney trades the DC rights to universal for the marvel contract to be demolished so disney world can have a marvel land in DHS or a marvel 5th gate. It would actually be a quite easy retheme from Marvel to DC. You could change Spider-Man to Batman, hulk to either superman or green lantern, dr doom to joker, and the tea cup thing could be some character, I just don't know who.
Praises, criticisms, and suggestions are welcome!

There's already a Gotham-land at Warner Bros Madrid, and it is pretty cool (Just Saying)

It has a Mr. Freeze spinner, a Batman coaster, Joker bumper cars, and a simulator like Star Tours with a story like Spiderman.

I'd welcome backman Island back again. It was originally suppose to go in anyway. But theyy will come up with something even if they have to tear that area down. (Which is what I hope they don't do. Just rather them add some things)

To be honest, I don't see Marvel getting replaced anytime soon . IF by any chance I'm wrong,
What could replace the Hulk? It's one of the most unique designed coasters, queue, and landscaping I've seen for entering a park

Skull Island? With Spiderman changing to King Kong 360 3D 2.0, Hulk turning into a Kong themed coaster, and Dr Doom being themed to another Kong attraction?

With a LArge Kong Statue (6 or 7 stories tall ) pounding his chest as you enter through the gates.

I'd go for it. Could be and should be more along the lines of thrills!

Sorry, A marvel land retheme.

If they want to keep the comic book theme, it would be good and originally it was supposed to be a batman land.

Well, Uni wants to keep the MARVEL comic book theme, as Disney is pumping out great movies and putting the brand at the forefront of pop culture. Disney makes the Marvel Cinematic Universe successful and reaps the benefits of box office numbers and merch sales, while Universal Orlando reaps the benefit of being home to the characters on the East Coast. It's a win-win situation. No where in that equation does it make fiscal sense for the Universal brass to logically rid themselves of the theme park rights to Marvel.

The DC universe as well is still not as big of a boost as having the Marvel universe rights is. Outside of Nolan's Batman films (which are at an end), the manner in which Warner Bros. has handled the recent film adaptations of DC characters has been scrutinized by many. Superman Returns was awful, Green Lantern flopped, and there is no guarentee of the success of the upcoming Man of Steel or the 2015 Justice League movie. Those new incarnations of the characters could very well hit all the right notes among moviegoers.

However, when looking at the entire situation from a business sense, Marvel beats out DC every time. The lineup of Marvel flicks over the past couple of years have been overwhelming, both critically and financially. DC, on the other hand, is more of a mixed bag of the now finished Nolan trilogy and undeniable flops to their name.

Remember, Universal gets to decide what happens with the Marvel area of IOA, not Disney per the agreements in the contract that states Uni retains the rights East of the Mississippi River. And contrary to what fanboys believe, there is no so called expiration date to the contractual agreement. Even if Disney served the theme park rights to DC comics to Uni on a silver platter in the hopes of gaining Marvel rights for WDW, there's about a 5% chance that Uni would even consider it. It would be like saying, "Hey guys. We know you have this thing we want. So here's a subpar replacement that is a much less guarantee of profit compared to the thing we want. We want what you have so we can build it at our parks to reap the benefits that you guys would be losing by giving it to us."

Six Flags has demolished any want I have for a DC Comics themed area. We don't need more rides associated with Batman or Superman. Marvel is absolutely perfect.

If there is one thing they should change about Marvel Superhero Island it should be making the 2-dimensional figures into 3-dimensional figures.

Yeah, I know it probably wouldn't be a great idea for uni, but I'm a Disney freak, so I probably just said what I want. But then again, Disney could also get a different franchise that universal couldn't resist. I can think of lord of the rings off the top of my head. I know you would have to demolish pretty much everything in the marvel area to build it, or you could replace a different island and just retheme the marvel area something else

Honestly while Marvel is hot right now, it sure wasn't in the 80's or 90's. DC absolutely dominated both tv and film. I don't see why down the road they couldn't be as big as Marvel.

Personally for me, Marvel is almost at its pinnacle. Avengers was great, Iron Man and Captain America were too, but I feel X-Men, Thor, Hulk, and Spider-Man have all had their time. I'm sorry but my interest in Thor 2, or Ant-Man, or Wolverine 2 just isn't there. To each their own of course.

I loved Nolan's Batman films, and am truly interested to see what DC is going to do with Justice League, the new Superman, etc. For all we know both companies may have many blockbusters on the way.

Tolkien did not like Disney, like, at all. And the chances that the Tolkien Estate, which would have to approve giving over the LOTR rights for a land to Disney are about zero to none unless Disney is willing to fork over oh about 7 billion or so for the right (No that isn't an exaggeration). They've basically put their price tag so high as to ensure Disney won't come aknockin'. It's more likely that the would lower their price tag for Uni if Uni came to ask but even that is an unlikely scenario at this time or in the near future. And I can't think of any other property that would have the same type of draw as LOTR that Disney could offer up to Universal to make them give up their Marvel rights. It just ain't happening.

Did anyone ever see the Gotham City area of Six Flags Over Georgia when it was in its prime in the late '90s?
Back when the Mindbender staff wore Nygmatech lab coats, the Stunt Show was in full swing, and the whole land had a huge system of streams, drainage ditches, and even waterfalls running with green-dyed water? The design queues were mostly inspired by the Burton and Schumacher films, but the midway area was more reminiscent of the animated series. It was awesome.
One of my favorite themed lands ever, and in my opinion better realized than Universal's Marveland.

Of course, it being Six Flags, the park dedicated roughly zero dollars to maintaining the thematic aspects of the land and everything was immediately subjected to decay, vandalism, and removal, but for the two or so seasons it was in proper shape it was amazing stuff.
