Well, I don't know if you would call it a park. It is more like another area like Pleasure Island/Downtown Disney. I don't have time to go into a lot of detail, but, I would love to see an area of Disney dedicated to Disney Theater, made to look like Time Square. From the Broadway themed shops, to the great restaurants, to the theaters. There would be 4 or 5 theaters each showing Disney shows (ie Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Mary Poppins, Tarzan...) They could even have a theater dedicated to traveling (non-Disney) shows (ie Wicked, Spam-a-lot...). It would be a great place for families to go in the evening. You can stroll down 42nd street, or Broadway, shop, eat a great dinner, go to a Disney show, then have some great cheesecake at Lindys. And, to top it all off...New Years Eve, every night (ball dropping and all).
Right now you can only see those shows on Broadway, or maybe you can catch them when they come to your town. But wouldn't it be great if you could see them at Disney World?
There could be some touristy stops as well. Like a FDNY interactive shop. Or maybe a Dark ride type of pavilion where you go inside what looks like the lobby of the Empire State building, get into an elevator that goes up (or at least seems to) then lets you out into what looks like the observation tower at the Empire State building. The Imagineers could use their Disney magic to make it look like you are up high, looking over NYC.
There could be another pavilion where you can have your picture put on the big billboards over the psudo-time square.
I could go on and on. But, no time. The biggest idea to get across here is that there is no 'Broadway type theater experience' at Disney. I know there are shows like circ d ole (sp?), but it would be really nice to see The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast, as they are on Broadway.
Just wishful thinking...
