Idea for a large-scale 3D video-based ride system

I don't know what they have planned over at Universal for Harry Potter, but I have an idea of how to utilize the Kuka roboarm technology. What if you had the arm coming into a large spherical room from the side, allowing the riders to be positioned approximately at the center of the sphere. The arm technology, as it already stands, would be able to point you in any direction to face any part of the sphere...above, below, from side to side, etc. The interior of the sphere would simply act as a large projection screen.

Now the kicker...mount the digital 3D projecters ON the arm itself so that wherever you are pointing, that is where the image is displayed. This would get around any limitations fixed projectors would pose. If the displayed image from the arm is large enough to cover your immediate peripheral vision you would always be looking directly at the sweet spot of the image. Imagine the possibilities. You could have people facing straight down during drops, have the arm accelerate forward toward some oncoming scenery, etc. This would have never been possible with film-based video, but now with digital, is there any reason they could not mount the projector to the vehicle?
