Ice Cream Social

Went with our family two years ago. It was great!!! It was't very crowded and it allowed alot of character interaction. Chip and Dale spent alot of time with our kids. My kids were also asked to participate in a "wedding" for some honeymooners. My son and Chip served as the best men while my daughter and Dale were the maids of honor.:)

We did this in September, 2002, and it was definately one of the highlights of our vacation. We got to see Farmer Mickey, Pluto, as well as Chip & Dale. Dale put on a show for us. He got into an open pouch on our backpack and took out a walkie talkie and used it as a phone, passed it around to the waitresses and even to Chip. Mickey came back to our table again. Gabby had to kiss his nose before he left. Dale was forced to give back the walkie talkie with his head hung low. If that wasn't bad enough, I told him that I forgot to bring him any acorns to pay him back with. Oh my, that was not good. The poor dear flung himself over the railing around the restaurant totally dejected. But, a hug was all it took to make things right in the end. Boy, that was a fun first park day at WDW. The ice cream was good too. lol Mickey

We did the Ice Cream Social when they first started offering it. I thought it was great, but I can't give you a current opinion. Many here have done it recently and really enjoyed it. I think that the ICS is a good mid day break and has always been a crowd pleaser. Worth trying...have a great trip.

We didn't do the Ice Cream Social, but we did eat at the Garden Grill for dinner. The food is good, but we were too busy interacting the charters that we didn't have enough time to eat. Chip spend about 15 min getting my almost 2 year old DD to feel comfortable, just playing with her. I think the Ice Cream would be good because you get to spend a lot of time with the charters and the kids are too busy to eat anyway.

Thanks everyone, appreciate the feedback. We are going again in early June and the ICS is one of the few things we have not tried before, just thought it would be a nice break while at Epcot. We have eaten at GG before several times, always a good experience. The food is good and it is one of the best meals on the property for getting character time, especially with Mickey.
