I'll be travelling to WDW via I95 in June and was hoping to avoid the traffic and construction on I95 and I4 between Jacksonville and Orlando. It was a mess in December '02 on my last trip. We gave up on I95 and got on RT 1, which was a breeze all the way to Daytona (then more construction).
Is I10 west from Jacksonville to RT 301 south to Ocala, then RT 27 to RT 192 a viable option? Or is I10 west to I75 to Ocala or to the Florida TPK better? Perhaps drivers from Atlanta area have alternate suggestions.
I know it's more miles, but I don't really care as long as one of these routes has fewer choke points than I95.
