For anyone that regularly visits savedisney.com, they are wanting to compile a list of changes that need to be made within the company.... they ask for 10 contributions each. Lets share each others ideas.

Here's what I sent:

I think the following changes need to occur at Disney:

1) Let's say goodbye to Michael Eisner!

2) No more cloned rides!

3) Drastic improvements on Walt Disney Studios, Paris & DCA.

4) Attractions built by Imagineers and not accountants.

5) Asset strip all of the loss makers, concentrating on Disney's core products.

6) No more cheap sequels to classic films.

7) Bring back hand-drawn animation.

8) Rekindle relationships with Pixar for Computer Generated films.

9) Re-Invest money back into the parks e.g. Future World Epcot, Tomrrowland Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

10) Take note from Tokyo's strategy. Speculate to accumulate, look and plan for the long term, not short term financial gain!

I agree itis time for Eisner to go...but I caution anyone who thinks everything will be "sunshine and rainbows" with a new CEO. Who really knows....the next guy could be worse.

There I disagree. The vast majority of the general public will never visit more than 1 of the resorts. The cloning of rides allows the company spread the huge technology investment into more venues, which should mean more frequest additions of rides.

I have never been to either, but I agree, especially with the Paris studios.

It needs to be a collaboration. The accountants need to give the Imagineers a budget they can work with, but the Imagineers need to better stay within the budget.

I agree. I read this morning that ABC loses $150million each year with Monday Night Football.....but I can imagine the amount of people that would be upset if ABC did not renew the contract. Either way, ABC needs to do what is right for the business.

I could not agree more!

Bring back good animated movies. WDFA missed the boat on a few of the latest films. I think they spread themselves too thin, trying to make too many movies at once. I think 1 feature per year is good, if the films will be better.

Yes....this needs to happen!

WDW does not need another new park, the existing parks do need to be re-imagineered, and brought up to date.

This is a fine line. As long as the stock price is cheap, the company will have to focus on the short term to keep the stock price at a decent level, which will keep potential take-overs at bay. The company needs to focus on the long term too....but until the stock price gets better, this will be hard.

You're contradicting yourself with these two...

First you want HANDDRAWN animations and then you want COMPUTER GENERATED, thus ANIMATED films...

I'ts one or the other, anyway you made some good points... :D

I agree it doesn't read too well. But the Lion King and Toy Story were around roughly at the same time, and both were extremely successful. I beleive there is enough room for both.

Come on, Corrus. . . why must it be one or the other?? As djmatthews pointed out, they both work when done properly :D

We all are in the Digital era... so let it be digital, IMO, shouldn't be too difficult for them.. to transfer all the hand drawings to digital... (just IMO)
