Have you ever heard a song that just totally expressed how you felt? Am I the only one this happens to? This song came on the radio today and really took me by suprise at how well it fit how I feel right now. Dhani, this one's to you! :)

"I Think I'm In Love"
Jessica Simpson

Everytime you're near baby
I get kinda crazy in my head for you
I don't know what to do
And oh baby
I get kinda shaky when they mention you
I just lose my cool

My friends tell me
Somethin has come over me
And I think I know what it is

Chorus
I think I'm in love
Boy, I think that I'm in love with you
Got me doing silly things when it comes to you
In love, boy I think that I'm in love with you
I've been tellin all my friends what I feel for you

Just the other night baby, I saw you hangin
You were with your crew
I was with mine too
You took me by surprise
When you turn and look me in my eyes
Boy you really blow my mind

I don't know what's gotten into me
But I kinda think I know what it is

I think I'm in love, boy, I think that I'm in love with you
I've been tellin all my friends what I feel for you
I think I'm in love
Boy, I think that I'm in love with you
Got me doing silly things when it comes with you

Somethin strange has come over me
Got me goin out of my mind
Never met a guy like you before
You make me feel special inside

I think I'm in love
I think I'm in love

Chorus 3x

Not sure the point of this thread... but after all, this is Chit Chat right? :)

yes! that HAS happened to me several times...nsync's 'bye, bye, bye' went out to a guy that chose a dumb blonde (no offense to you blondes out there...but this one really is dumb) over me.
and Dido's 'thank you' went out to a dear friend of mine that i told you about just a little while ago...with the initials PS...*wink, wink, nudge, nudge* :D
seems like there's more, but i can't seem to think of them now.

Here's a song I've always liked. Since I'm older than you guys, you may not relate to it in the same way, but here it is:

Stranger Than Fiction

From Joe Jackson's album "Laughter and "

Please mister can't you help me try to find my baby's house
It's three in the morning in the pouring rain
I can't find the house and i forgot the number
But I gotta give her these roses to relieve her pain
Don't laugh . . . just tell me you've been there before
So we fight but we fight every evening
And I tell you every morning I just love her more

And life goes on . . . filled with disasters and friction
And life can be strange
But love can be stranger than fiction
Only love can be stranger than fiction

Excuse me operator . . . tell me what time it is
Me and my lover been in bed all day
I think I strained a muscle
I didn't know I had
And tell me what day it is anyway
Don't laugh . . . just tell me you hear what I say
I love her so much I don't even know what planet I'm on
Love her so much I wish she'd just go away

And life goes on . . . filled with bizarre contradictions
And life can be strange
But love can be stranger than fiction
Only love can be stranger than fiction

I know that sometimes love goes
But sometimes it comes back to getcha
And when love grows
It grows like a flower or grows like a tumor
Love shows that God has a sense of humor

Life goes on . . . ever immune to prediction
And life can be strange
But love can be stranger than fiction
Only love can be stranger than fiction

Oh geeze!! :hammer:  You sure are proud lately, aren't you?

There are a few quotes in songs that I can relate to...

"Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman" : "...I've seen so much more than you know now, so don't tell me to shut my eyes..."

"Overprotected" : "I tell them what I like, what I want, and what I don't. But every time I do, I stand corrected..."

"Oops!... I Did it Again" : "...I'm not that innocent!..."

I'm such a total & complete sap...Air Supply, Chicago, Leo Sayer... if it's pathetically tear-jerking & emotionally mindbending, I can often be found listening to it on endless loop. Songs say so much that the heart can feel, but not readily express.

Of course, catch me on an angry day & I'm more likely to be listening to Ugly Kid Joe, Marilyn Manson, or the traditional "Love Stinks", "Love Hurts" type jabber.

You can always tell my current emotion by what's in my CD player. I'm waaaaaaaaaay too obvious. No....I'm not revealing what's playing right now! Trying to keep my "poker face" today.
