I thought I would be fine. I thought I could get through it and get over it. Even be a little happy? But, I can't. :(

Waking up at 4:30 this morning to take my parents, sister, and her family to the airport so they could all go to WDW while I drove their car home is eating away at me!!!! Knowing they are now only an hour away from landing, that they will be walking into their rooms at the Contemporary with little designed towels laying on their beds, and swimming in the pool looking out over Bay Lake before I even get home from work is driving me batty.

Am I jealous? 100%. Did I try to convince my 4-year-old niece to let me crawl into her suitcase? Yes. If they would have pulled out an extra ticket this morning and said I could go, would I have gone (without any luggage or even telling my DH and kids)? Sadly, probably yes.

This day's gonna be rough. It's 5 o'clock somewhere right? :banghead:

Bet you didn't know that you're an alcoholic. Well...at least according to this thread.

And I hope you are proud of yourself, now I must go home and make a Margarita. Maybe even two.

Great, now I'M an alcoholic! #ThanksShanghai

I just got back and I haven't stopped crying since I left.

It's painful when people you know go and you're not involved. Make a little weekend trip.

I love my family very much. But, now that they've landed they have sent me like 12 updates already. I think by tomorrow I'll be better at handling the jealousy. But today??? I'm just so tired from being up so early, so my normal abilities to control my emotions are suppressed. They mean well, but...:cry::cry:

I'm in agony with you.... I have customers that go to WDW all the time and when they come back I hear all about their adventures. My DS is in Orlando this week too and hes been calling in describing his wonderful trip. GRRRRRR. The absolute worst has to be driving others to the airport and youre that close to the plane thats delivering them to FL in a matter of hours. Then as you drive away... watching a plane take off behind you.
Hope you take that personal day. I'm crying with you. Just remember... one day youll be taking that trip and youll be leaving them behind. Hopefully theyll bring you something good back with them!!!!

I feel for you, my hubs retired 2 years ago from a job that became unbearable, but now $$ is tight and we can't really afford travel. I am feeling SOOOO antcy !
I say pick up some good takeout, turn on a disney travel show, and eat good ice cream. I wish you well and hope that for your generousity in driving your family...that you might have a special surprise on your next Disney trip. That is my wish for you !! Have a better Friday evening !!

I'll tell you a story that may or may not help. A couple years ago I had a job that had varying hours, from 70 hours a week right down to ZERO. I would find out on Thursday what my schedule was for that Friday through the next Thursday. If I had no hours at all, I'd climb in the car and head east from Dallas, and 2 days later I'd be there. Well, one time when I had no hours I swore that I was just gonna save my money and spend the week on the couch watching movies. I mean after all I'd just been there 3 weeks before, and then a month before that. But then I wondered, just wondered, what kind of dining reservations I could get that late. So I went online, just curious. Well, there was a Saturday night rez at the Coral Reef, one of my favorite Disney restaurants. So I immediately started to book this rez, and realized during the process that I had made the decision to head for WDW after all!

Here's hoping the jealousy doesn't get you too down . . .
