I saw the Country Bears movie last night..

and all I can say is..

go see Lilo and Stitch again.


The quality of it is one of a fair Disney Channel exclusive movie, and it should not be shown in theatres. It was poorly done, and had an unimaginative plot. Its main redeeming factors are the high number of celebrity cameos and a few funny moments.

See it if you must... and only then

Mktiggerman, could you tell me if the plot focused on either Beary or the band more? The movie was supposed to have been a parody of "Behind the Music" with the bears getting popular, breaking up, and getting back together again(At least that's what the early press releases made it sound like). If the movie's horrible, I hope it dosen't affect the WDW show's popularity...

Speaking of the WDW show, are there any in-jokes or references to it? If there are, don't tell me what they are exactly, I just want to know if there are any.

I saw a screening of it last night as well and agree with MKTig..this movie would be better used as toilet paper.

Ah, so you saw an advance screening and aren't allowed to spoil it, I see.

I know the movie's horrible, but I'm still gonna see it. Why you ask? Because me and a certain other someone might give it the Mystery Science Theater 3000 treament.

Example:

Guy in Audience: Who's that little bear?

Dex: That's no little bear, he's my brother! YEAH!

ME (Guy): Eh, so what???

(Okay, okay, so it isn't that funny, but hopefully I can think up some funny ones after I see the movie)

I saw the previews for it and it looks like a good movie. I dont care that much about movie reviews. I dont care if i waste my $5 on the movie ticket, im going to see it anyways.

I can almost garuntee (sp?) that this one will be a failure. There are far more and better kids movies comeing out this summer that will dwarf this one in box earnings. (Stuart little 2, The dana Carvey one, etc)....When i saw the screening there were about 20-30 kids in the theater with me,..and from what i overheard..the majority didnt like it either.

Hell..Im hope im wrong...Disney could really use another hit..but i fear that im right on the money with this one
