I NEVER thought I would think ill of Disney and my obsession for. BUT in the recent years my obsession has began to dwindle to an almost hate for Disney, and that MAKES ME SAD!
We are planning our trip for October 2026 and as of this post, we ARE NOT GOING TO A DAY PARK, for the reason, its too expensive for the AVERAGE guests! I am also upset, because Disney is acting nonchalant about the whole EPIC UNIVERSE opening. They have not made any announcements of anything being built other than what we already know...Tropical America's at AK, Frontierland shooting Gallery becoming ANOTHER DVC LOUNGE and this hasn't been confirmed but a part of Frontierland becoming NEW ORLEANS area to tie into Tiania's Bayou, which has got NEGATIVE reviews, DHS Launch Bay AREA may get an overhaul and a build out, AK talk about Zootopia build.
All this is great to announce at D23 in a few weeks, but we know Disney's timeline, and nothing will be ready for at least 4-5 years! And I would be surprised if they did all these additions and refurbs at one time so that each park can open together! And Genie+ is now Lightning Lane Multi and Single Pass, but requires the guests to be on their phones during the day...that's why you go on vacation, so you don't have to be on your phones or deal with the outside world. The outside world is slowly creeping into our fantasy land.
My solution to LL passes...
1. ALL guests can schedule 3 LL's (1 major, 2 minor attractions) 7 DAYS BEFORE PARK DAY!
2. Once the guest enters the park, they CHECK INTO THE PARK. This gives EVERYONE a fighting chance for the popular rides. Resort guests are getting Early or Late entry/stay magic hours that they can ride more rides with little to no wait. That would be their perk for staying on property.
3. They App instructs them to go to their first LL, grab a FP TICKET for a return time, then go to the 2 minor attractions and do the same thing. In the meantime, they could be shopping, eating or snacking= more cash being spent and more profit!
4. Once the first or second LL is used (either major or minor), then you go to the next attraction to get a FP TICKET. Every time you use a LL, you are eligible to go get another FP TICKET.
This way guests are not on their cell phones except at park entry.
These are just my thoughts on the state of Disney for ME and my solution that might work and make guests more happy not being on their phones all day! I know Disney does monitor these blogs, so I hope they see this!!
