I never realized how long DVC has been around

Lol. I hear ya on that cash out tip. Listen to all the perks they got back then as well. It was the beginning of the DVC... The future looked very promising ..

FYI, the Magic Kingdom Club was *not* DVC. You're talking about two totally separate things.

DVC began when Old Key West opened in the early 90's, back when OKW was called the Disney Vacation Club.

MKC was a subscription that, among others, employers could buy to give the perks to their employees.

MKC was wonderful. My old employer offered it and it was enough of a lure to get us hooked on vacationing at WDW, which led to an eventual DVC purchase. Now...you just have to be all in.

Yeah, MKC != DVC. DVC is celebrating it's 25th anniversary this year, so it has been around a while, but the MKC was something completely different. I remember my mom getting the little cardboard cards from her work to get us stuff on trips.
