I am going to be at HS in October on a Sunday. Where would you suggest catching a Ravens game somewhere in that area. I know ESPN at the boardwalk is probably a given. However, it will probably be packed. Are there any lesser know places to watch a games? I am willing to go anywhere pretty much. I am worried that it might not be televised from the room at AoA, or that would be an option. I guess I can find out when I get there if it will be played in the room.

I think most of the hotel lounges have tvs and will be broadcasting "a" game, but it may not be the game you wanted to see. I remember being at Tambu in the Poly before dinner at 'Ohana and watching a game. Still, if it's not the game in their local coverage, the odds of the resorts having NFL Ticket or something similar are slim. I know it's not as fun, but have you thought about streaming the game to a phone or tablet?

No I have not considered my phone. You would think I would have thought of that considering all of the commercials lol.

We went last September. My husband included, you could not walk 10 feet in the MK without a dad/husband with their face buried in their phone checking scores/watching the game/checking their fantasy team. We were on IASW and i kid you not - every male on our boat made an audible sigh when the Bronco had scored. They all, my husband included, had a FULL conversation about the season while the wives and kids were distracted by the singing dolls.

Our entire family also happened to be wearing our Packers shirts and hats so again, literally every 10 feet or so we would get an update from another guest. "Rodgers is in the end zone" It was so funny. Quite a few cast members asked my husband for the scores of games too.

My husband said it was the best football experience he had second to visiting Lambeau. It was a great sense of comorodity while being (his words) "dragged through the park when he's supposed to be sitting on the couch"

Unfortunately I don't think I will see too many fellow Ravens fans in Florida. But it sounds like a its a culture of food ball in Disney in the fall!

Oddly enough one of the families we friended on our Football Sunday were Ravens fans. They had two young daughters decked out in cutesy purple Raven outfits. So adorable seeing the kids in team colors.

We were surprised by how many Packer fans there were too. The entire Sunday we got "So where in Wisconsin are you from?" "Ummm, we're from New York, but we promise we are Pack-lifers and not just trendy;)"

It was fun too. Rivals boo-ed each other, others cheered you on. CM's that liked your team gave you stickers, ones that didn't messed with you. Even Princess Tiana wouldn't hug my husband because she was rooting for the Saints.

Go to the parks wearing your team. IMO it is worth the experienceeven if you don;t get to sit and watch the game.

ESPN is always a great time. We sat at the Rainforest Cafe bar and watched the Jets/Colts several years back. They didn't have the sound so that took away but it wasn't the worst. We are in Disney every year for championship weekend so we just park it at ESPN for 8 hours! lol We were talking about checking out Splitsville for a game this year. The upstairs bar area has a bunch of tvs and we are pretty sure they will have the sound on!

Well my jersey is Ray Rice lol...I would wear it but I don't think I want the conversation that comes with! But maybe I will rock my Ravens super bowl champs shirt. I am looking forward to the football experience now!

If you don't mind venturing just slightly off property, check out the Orlando Ale House on 535. It is literally just outside of property near the Hotel Blvd (Downtown Disney) entrance. When we lived down that way this was our go-to spot for Friday nights. Great drink specials, good bar food and a ton of TVs. Plus it costs half of what somewhere on Disney property would cost.

I think there is also one off of 192 as well, but depending on where you're staying, the one off of 535 would likely be the closest. Just 5 minutes from DTD.

Check it out here...

I doubt Disney property has the NFL ticket. The ESPN Bar may be the only place with Jax, Miami, and TBB being local teams. You may have to look offsite somewhere if not the ESPN Bar.
