I'm not active in any other forum and everyone is so awesome here. Its February in Nebraska which means my desire for beach therapy is kicking in. We have never been to the Keys before and flying to Miami is actually pretty cheap from Omaha.
How is Key Largo? I don't think we want to go all the way to Key West and do a 4 hour'ish drive on arrival/departure day, but more take a day trip out that way.
I'm also wondering if we should do the west coast because we've had 5 Florida trips since 2019 (Destin, Universal, WDW x3). All I really care about is a nice clean beach (Destin had amazing beaches), clear/blue water, and just overall relaxing atmosphere. We stayed at a resort in Destin called the Sandestin Golf and Beach resort and that was super awesome - I just hated the traffic there on the lone highway. Wondering if I could find this in the Keys?
