I have decided to restart construction of my RCT2 Disney...

There are several reasons for this.

1. Original plan was too small, too many rides behind berm.
2. Space Mountain too close to blocking castle view
3. Hub was way too small (the new one is monsterous)
4. Several Rides did not look right
5. I want Discoverybay to be next to Adventureland so Adventureland has a large volcano in the background
6. Toontown can have itself 100% inside the berm
7. I did not like my earlier castle

And finally, since I started work on my earlier version, I dled a bunch of other parks and by the way the game works new rides and scenery made by fans is saved with the parks. So after playing around with 5 really well done parks, I had a bunch of new really good looking scenery and rides at my disposal.

For example, my new castle has many arcs and such giving a much more grand look.

Another thing is, for spacemountain, instead of using the roof tiles that came with the game, I used costom made roof tiles at alow me to do 1/4 roof tiles, and select the roof color and wall color.

Not sure if you wanted it posted here or at the other thread, but I wanted to suggest that perhaps instead of Toontown, you build an area of the park dedicated to Nightmare Before Christmas?? I think it would be awesome to have a whole land with all the attractions themed to that movie.

No... I don't want a whole area based on one property... But I did notice today that I have room for a whole new land next to Tommorowland and Main Street. (it will probably be just for service)

But I don't want attractions based off properties, I want original imagitive ideas that bring magic not corporation to the parks.

Okay. Got it. Will immediately start thinking of some ideas. By the way, I can't wait till RCT3 comes out. More hours of time in front of the computer.

Tommorowland is progressing very very well. I recently solved a problem by switching Mission Space with HISTA which means Mission Space will be the only Tommorowland attraction behind the berm. (the entrance is below the Tommorowland train station with the moonliner sitting on top of that)

Anyway, If I don't build HISTA, then I don't need the left building for anything....

Oh, and my architectual style for Tommorowland. I am trying to mix in the themes of as many Tommorowlands as I can. (1955, 1967. 1971, 1983, 1994, 1998, and with my own touches) So far, all the scenery and attractions go together forming is cool futuristic place. The overall Theme of Tommorowland though is based on the science fiction of today. It will be the future we wish we will have but probably will not.

Another cool thing I noticed is that by accident, I made Tommorowland almost a perfect wedge.... It's kinda weird. And I still need to find a way to place Toontown between Fantasyland and Tommorowland without ruining the overall theming. That is why the entrance for Toon Town will start really far out like at Disneyland and WDW.

I noticed though that the land adjacent to Tommorowland on the otherside may feature blending problems due to where the location of a tommorowland restaurant is. I am currently planing on that area to be gardens for a while until actually become the land of whatever it will become. There is still room there for a good land though to build. I however, don't want any major E-tickets there (too close to the entrance and peeps will commit suicide if I don't connect it to Main Street).

I was thinking of Liberty Square there but do I really want it that far from the Rivers of America?

Well now I am working on Fantasyland.

First of all, the castle is now done. And I should note that it is huge spanning across all of Fantasyland and reaching a lovely height of 199 feet. It is a shy blue with many flying buttresses like of a Cathedral. For its name. Instead of having a princess for the castle to be named after, I want to name it "The Castle of Dreams".

Now for Fantasyland itself. It grows to be very large and open with the two ride buildings on both sides. I have completed the side adjacent to Tommorowland and I am now working on the other side. The courtyard in the center is very large and the paths in fantasyland on both sides curve inward towards the large castle. Story bookland is going to be in the back of Fantasyland and that will contrain:
-Canal Boats
-Casey Jr. Circus Train
-Dumbo
-It's a Small World.

I am currently thinking of several other flat rides to add in but I am still thinking about that.

I am also trying to figure out the land between Tommorowland and Fantasyland. I know that both Toon Town and Forbidden Mountain will both be located there inside the berm but I am still working on some stuff. I am thinking of using PaulCM's everest design as reference.

Ground breaking has started on the Adventureland Hotel. It will be situated right next to Adventureland and so the jungles of Adventureland and the Volcano of Discovery Bay will provide a very nice backdrop.

Anyway, Castle of Dreams

Triple post but i don't want to make a new topic. Anyway, I have completed 90% of Adventureland (still debating on if I should build anything over Indiana Jones but then again it is right next to MAin Street)

Adventureland has:
-Swiss Family Treehouse
-Aladin's Magic Carpets
-Enchanted Tiki room
-Jungle Cruise (I forgot to add waterfalls into scenery so the back side of water is a glass wall)
-Indiana Jones (use you imagination for the temple name)

The rest of the area is shopping and a restaurant called the "Explorer's Club"

Well now I am working on Discoveryland or bay or whatever. It will be a combination of the TDS version and the DL version. The current rides planned are:

-Journey to the Center of the Earth (I am using watercoaster with this and it will include a water section... if an emv can do that)
-20,000 leagues under the sea
-Fire Mountain (maybe... probably not but Atlantis stuff will be in it)
-A launched LSM-rollercaoster (probably only behind berm ride in this land, adventureland has no behind berm rides and neither does fantasyland)

Anyway, the entrance will feel like a China town and as you slowly approach Mount Promethius the buildings will change to a 1870's style combined with some of the sci-fi of Joule's verne.

Now here is the important part. Does anyone know a RCT2 trainer that allows me to change the lift hill speed of a ride of my choice? I want to do this for Journey to the center of the Earth. Currently, going 6mph up out of the mountain is not very exciting.

Do you know about RCT3 that should be coming out soon. It will be in 3d and might be better to just wait for it to come out to make a disney park.

RCT3 will be out around October/November. And I did think about waiting until the release to start. I decided to work in RCT2 instead though because:
1. It will take me a while to get familiar with what I can do in RCT3.
2. RCT3 probably wont have fan made Scenery
3. I will build a Disney in RCT3 anyway.

Oh, I am running into problems in RCT2. For some reason, even though I had scenery objects like the Pagoda and Sailing ship selected to use, for some reason the game wont let me use them. I solved the problem for the Tiki room but I am having trouble with the Columbia because of this. (it looks really dumb right now)

Journey Update: I now have the ride fully working. Riders and now launched from the side of the volcano reaching about 40 mph i think.
