I have a question about the dining plan...

We are lucky enough to have the free dining for our Disney holiday this summer. We have used the dining plan before, and find it great.

I have been reading about the things that you can substitute, and found this statement which refers to the quick service credits.
  • You can now substitute any dessert or non-alcoholic beverage for a DDP snack credit. This must be done in the same transaction.
|Does that mean that we can use an extra snack credit to get an extra dessert, or, that we can skip dessert when we order a counter service meal, and receive a snack credit to use later at a different place? That would be great for us, as we never really want a dessert with a counter service meal, and we like to try different snacks around the parks.

I'm pretty sure the "in the same transaction" means you can substitute your dessert with a snack that will be billed to your same meal, so only DDP snacks on the menu at the same location.

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
You have to substitute while at the same location as Monty said. It does not ADD a snack credit to your credits. :)
