I Feel Like Magic Happens Parade Is Not Coming Back

I hate to be a over dramatic drama queen, but since Disneyland didn't announce the return of Magic Happens Parade next year, I'm starting to feel that Magic Happens is not coming back at all. We lost Paint the Night Parade and now, Magic Happens. I guess despite it won an award, Disneyland is too ashamed to bring it back or maybe it's too expensive. I blame Covid19. That virus killed it. I'm sorry if my overdramatic behavior is cringe worthy, but this is just how I feel right now. 😭

It literally ran for like two weeks.

That means almost no one has seen it, which means it will certainly be a draw. Something they will certainly capitalize on when they're ready to do so.

Even modern Disney isn't stupid enough to just throw out a parade that ran a few weeks tops.

I never saw it. It only was there for a couple weeks before Disneyland closed suddenly for over a year.

But I fully support your emotion here. I can always get behind a drama queen if they're truly passionate about their drama. Go for it!

If it helps cheer you up any, I think PiratesMansion has a really great point!...

Thank you. That's a very valid point.

As much as they are obviously clueless idiots who don't actually use their own products, I don't envy the TDA decision makers of today. They're trying to rebuild a base of highly technical employees that they completely lost after over a year of unplanned closure. TDA was given very little guidance by Sacramento when or how they could reopen their property. It dragged on for over a year, and the rules Sacramento was using changed three separate times during that process. TDA is hosed. Their knowledge base was wiped out. No business could survive that bureaucratic abuse undamaged.

They're doing what they can to rebuild Disneyland. I don't envy them that task one bit. Even if they are idiots.

If it's any comfort, Miguel was out a lot in Frontierland during the fall in his parade look (and may be out still - I haven't been in several weeks) so at least that costume still exists and was being used.

However, while Merlin was out in Fantasyland on Disney+ Day, he was not wearing the parade costume.

Who is this guy?
He works for Nexstar Media (a company that owns hundreds of local news affiliate stations) as a manager of content strategy and operations. But his online presence is mostly focused on Disney Parks news. Seems like he was able to get a comment from Disney about Magic Happens.
