I can't believe I did that!

I have to travel to Florida for a training course for work next week and talked my husband and son (it took them about three seconds to say YES!) to flying down at the end of my course and meeting me in WDW. I was able to book a three day package back in January so we got a nice room discount at a moderate resort.

I was just looking at my reservations last night and could not believe my eyes! I shorted us one night! Our current reservation has us checking out on Sunday but our flight home is not until the following day!

I put a quick call into Reservations and there are NO ROOMS to be had at our resort for that extra night. The agent was extremely helpful and I've managed to snag a room only package for the last night at Pop - we probably won't even need to unpack anything as we'll only be there to sleep on the last night.

But I am so shocked at myself - I am usually so meticulous in our trip planning. Has anyone else ever done anything like that?

I have to admit that on one trip, I booked our flight along with our WDW package. I THOUGHT we were landing in Orlando at 12 noon. Almost immediately after hitting the "book now" key, I realized that it was indeed 12 midnight. To make matters worse, we flew out of Pittsburgh with a stop in Cinci. When we got their our connecting flight was delayed due to a broken windshield so we spent the night in Cinci. By the time we got to WDW, it was noon the next day and Disney cancelled our res because we were a no show. Once I explained to them that I couldn't call them because I didn't think to carry that info on me, he went back to an office for about 15 minutes. When he came back, our res were back on and to our surprise, they loaded free DDP onto it. It turned out to be a great trip.
