Hurricane winds in northern IL!
Yes, you read that right, we had a hurricane in IL last night. Well at least hurricane force winds for about 30+ minutes. I was awaken at 1:45 this morning and just laid in bed dreading going to the window to see my car or anything outside. We had 80+ mph winds the whole time and are expecting even more sever storms tonight to be similar to last nights. I wasn't able to sleep from the lightning cracks and thunder that never stopped. There was a lot of damage this morning on the way to school with trees. I didn't notice any structural damage though. Let's hope it doesn't get as bad or any worse tonight or even as bas as the other day where we had 4 tornadoes within an hour.
I can't even imagine what Charlie was like as last night was a nightmare for me. I still think about all those that Charlie affected. I hope all are okay still and things are back to normal, or as back to normal as it gets.
